In an unexpected turn of events, Commander Riker and Counselor Troi suddenly showed up in the controversial final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise. This particular episode unfolds within the context of TNG’s “The Pegasus,” where Riker ponders whether to disclose all to Picard. At Troi’s urging, Riker steps into the holodeck and reenacts the final voyage of the Enterprise NX-01. These incidents transpired approximately six years following the last episode of Enterprise, serving as a direct prelude to the establishment of the United Federation of Planets.

Inside the holodeck scenario, Riker assumes the position of the ship’s cook, which gives him an opportunity to converse freely with various Enterprise crew members about their past events. Troi joined the fray towards the end of the season, but both Riker and Troi were pivotal in the struggle against the combined Borg/Changeling threat to Starfleet. As a captain now, Riker skillfully commanded the Titan and subsequently accompanied Picard and Worf to the Borg cube to save Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers).
