As a dedicated fan of both the classic Risk board game and the epic saga of Dune, I am absolutely thrilled about the impending arrival of Risk: Dune Edition! Growing up with both these iconic franchises has been a significant part of my gaming and sci-fi experiences. The fusion of Denis Villeneuve’s vision of Arrakis, as seen in the acclaimed Dune movies starring Timothée Chalamet, into the strategic world of Risk is nothing short of mind-blowing!
The iconic Risk board game is making its way to the world of Arrakis, as portrayed by Denis Villeneuve in his critically-acclaimed Dune movie franchise featuring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides. This game offers players an opportunity to delve into the complex politics and grand battles within the Dune universe. In this game, 2 or 4 players can compete for dominance over the planet and its valuable spice trade.

Will Dune: Messiah Be The Third Film In a Trilogy?
It has been officially announced that “The Messiah” is being worked on by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment. However, Warner Bros. has scheduled the release of Villeneuve’s next movie for December 18, 2026, so it may be a while before we get to see it – if it ever gets made.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Villeneuve expressed that for him, the first two movies were essentially a set or pair, serving as an adaptation of the initial book. He emphasized that this part is completed. If he were to make a third movie, it wouldn’t be considered a traditional trilogy. Instead, if he returns to this project, it would be to create something fresh and distinct.
