Rob Schneider Responds to Daughter Elle King Calling Out His Parenting

As a dedicated fan of Rob Schneider‘s comedy since his days on Saturday Night Live, it’s heartbreaking to see the strained relationship between him and his daughter Elle King. I’ve laughed countless times at his jokes, but now, hearing about their struggles has left me in tears instead.

Rob Schneider is getting candid about his shortcomings as a father.

On a recent occasion, the former Saturday Night Live performer publicly responded to claims made by his daughter, Elle King, concerning their challenging past and present strained relationship.

Rob expressed on his August 14 interview preview for The Tucker Carlson Show podcast that being a parent is enjoyable. He also shared his feelings, saying, “Elle, I adore you, and if I could, I would be the father I should have been during my twenties, which it seems I wasn’t able to be.”

The man who is 60 years old requested forgiveness from Elle, the mother of their two-year-old son named Lucky, who is Daniel Tooker’s child as well. He expressed this by saying, “Please forgive my flaws,” and added, “I love you wholeheartedly. I love you entirely.”

He went on saying, “I simply hope for your well-being and joy, with you and your lovely child, Lucky. May good fortune be upon you. Let me make it clear that any comments you make do not affect me personally.”

Tucker was struck by the way Rob answered, wondering about the effort he put into avoiding defensiveness, blaming, or retaliation.

“Rob put it this way,” he said, “if you truly care for someone deeply, then you simply – I adore her. All I yearn for is her happiness and her healing.”

She hasn’t answered her father’s remarks yet, however, the “Ex’s and Oh’s” artist recently spoke up about their tense relationship earlier this week. Specifically, he admitted that he had sent her to a weight-loss facility during her youth.

On the Dumb Blonde podcast, I shared a personal story about my past on August 12. Growing up, I was significantly overweight, to put it mildly. My father, in an attempt to help, enrolled me in a weight loss camp. It wasn’t easy, and one year, due to an ankle sprain, I didn’t manage to shed any pounds. The environment was harsh, and looking back, it was quite absurd when I didn’t meet their expectations.

The 35-year-old, who was born to Rob’s first wife, London King, shared memories of their summer visits to her father’s movie sets, describing the experience as far from perfect or ideal.

She commented, “I’d easily blend with the crowd,” meaning that making mistakes such as missing shots, having something in the camera’s view like an arm, or speaking would result in serious reprimands.

She mentioned that her interactions with the actor from “Hot Chick” have influenced how she makes decisions about parenting Lucky.

She remarked, “My father overlooked each and every one of my birthdays.” On the day I turned eighteen, I was attending a summer school instead of celebrating, but they still managed to bring me cupcakes. When I returned home, I discovered he had failed to remember. That’s why I make certain to celebrate my son’s birthday with great care, knowing how it feels when one is overlooked on such a special day.

But most of all, she shared that does not “want to be associated with him.”

She went on to say, “He isn’t exactly kind-hearted. I find myself at odds with many of his views. Though I wish for him to change, it’s important to remember that we cannot dictate others’ actions or emotions. The only things we truly have control over are our responses and the way we handle our feelings.”
