Robbie Williams is detailing a recent health scare.
Earlier this year, the British vocalist disclosed that a change in his eating habits resulted in a medical condition known as scurvy, which he humorously referred to as the “illness of 17th-century pirates.
In a conversation with The Mirror on April 7, Robbie shared that he had ceased consuming food and wasn’t receiving necessary nutrients. He explained this was during his experiment with an appetite suppressant as part of an effort to shed weight. “I felt sad,” he said, “I experienced anxiety, and I was going through depression.
Recently, Take That’s former member, now aged 51, encountered a spell of depression – something he hadn’t felt for a while, given his openness about his mental health experiences.
At the beginning of this year, I experienced some struggles with my mental health, a situation I haven’t faced for a prolonged period, Robbie shared, expressing this to his wife Ayda Field, who they share four children: Theodora (12 years old), Charlton (10), Colette (6), and Beau (5).
The speaker’s wife might ask, “If your depression had a voice, what would it express?” However, it wasn’t expressing anything specific like ‘it’s my parents,’ ‘life,’ ‘tickets,’ ‘the tour,’ or ‘pressure.’ Instead, it was simply an all-encompassing sentiment. It was just present, with no particular reason or cause.
Besides personally encountering a depressive phase, the “Angels” singer elaborated on the intricate feelings that come with such an experience, having gone through it after a decade.
After roughly a decade, I had convinced myself that I had reached the culmination of my journey, as if I were nearing the final bend of an arc. I believed that this marked the conclusion of my tale and that I would simply drift into a beautiful, enchanting realm. However, its reappearance left me bewildered.
And it was difficult to block out the noise his depression brought about.
He stated that it could feel overwhelming. It’s like trying to ignore things by burying your head in the sand or covering your ears and humming to yourself, “La La La.
After portraying himself in the biographical musical “Better Man,” where Robbie shared his journey through fame, struggle with addiction, and subsequent recovery, he now stresses the necessity of maintaining good mental health and prioritizing personal wellness above all else.
He emphasized that it’s crucial for you to prioritize your own well-being and avoid creating turbulence in anyone’s life, just as he has learned to do since the 90s.

As someone who’s been through a lot, I can attest that the impact of getting hit by a cement truck at age 11, an event that changed my life forever, continues to influence me significantly even today.
Speaking on the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast in 2025, I found myself in an incredibly challenging situation. My body has been plagued with persistent spasms that have made everyday life a struggle. At one point, the medical professionals I consulted had to deliver some grim news: they believed my time was running out, quite literally within this past year.
He pointed out that pain fluctuates, expressing, “There are some quirks and imperfections in my body that aren’t quite right.
Previously on Bachelor Nation, the former contestant disclosed that he had to visit the hospital, moving on hands and knees, as his intense backache intensified during a camping trip with a buddy, which unfortunately worsened the situation.
In his Trading Secrets podcast episode from March 24th, he mentioned that his feet up to his knees were still feeling numb, which was surprising. To give an idea of how significant this is, let me clarify that just a few weeks prior, maybe a month ago, he was squatting around 295 pounds. Now, I can’t even do a regular squat on one leg; if I try, I’ll lose my balance. It’s as if I’ve had a stroke or something.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
During a game in December 2024, I, as an AHL player, suffered a gruesome injury when another player’s skate accidentally sliced me open. I required a total of 25 stitches to close the wound. After my full recovery, my father, who happens to be the general manager of the New Jersey Devils – Tom Fitzgerald – expressed his relief to ESPN, stating, “We were incredibly fortunate. I wouldn’t wish an incident like that on any parent.
Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her former spouse, Matt Kirschenheiter, experienced a heart attack in March 2025. Fortunately, he managed to pull through this challenging situation.
In March 2025, the main actor from the show “30 Rock” was suddenly taken ill during a New York Knicks basketball match at Madison Square Garden, necessitating his removal from the venue in a wheelchair.
On the next day, the comedian posted an update on social media, mentioning that it was food poisoning and he was recovering well.
In February 2025, an actress from the show ‘Even Stevens’ revealed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a celebratory clay pigeon shooting trip for her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday.
She posted on Instagram that another person was with us, but they carelessly discharged their weapon in the wrong direction and accidentally struck her in the face. Instantly, @thebrendanrooney took action, evaluated her condition, and swiftly transported her to the hospital. She had been hit in five spots; one of them was just under an inch away from directly hitting her right eye.
The former Kim Possible cast member went on to say, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck near my eye, and it’s not safe for surgery right now to extract it. My doctors are keeping close tabs on me since I can currently see fine.
The actress expressed her heartfelt gratitude for simply being alive. She declared her profound love for her daughters, husband, family, and friends. She recounted a moment where she felt her life passing before her, emphasizing that such encounters serve as reminders to cherish the people close to us. Every opportunity we have to embrace them, she suggested, should be seized, for life can unexpectedly alter in an instant.
Although the internet can sometimes be unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful that it provided her with valuable insights in this particular situation. Reflecting on a 2025 episode of Call Her Daddy, she recalled the public scrutiny after some press appearances made her appear “puffier”. However, medical professionals chimed in, suspecting she might have Cushing syndrome due to her unusual appearance. Surprised to be criticized by doctors, Amy later realized she had been receiving steroid injections for scar treatments, which could have caused the syndrome. She explained, “I didn’t know I had this thing called Cushing syndrome if it weren’t for the internet giving me a hard time.” Now, Amy is relieved to learn that her condition will resolve itself and she’s healthy. As she expressed in a 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Discovering I have a self-correcting form of Cushing syndrome and learning I’m healthy was the best news imaginable.
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a terrifying incident during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber when she began having symptoms resembling a stroke. As she recounted later on YouTube, she responded uncharacteristically when Justin asked if she was alright, and when she tried to speak, she couldn’t. Her right side of the face started drooping, and she struggled to form sentences.
Although the facial drooping stopped and her speech returned, Hailey went to the hospital for a check-up. They discovered that she had a small blood clot in her brain, classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles revealed that Hailey had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot reportedly traveled into her heart, slipped through the hole, and reached her brain, leading to the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and is now feeling well.
In the same year that Hailey went through her health scare, Justin Bieber also faced a similar health challenge. Specifically, in June 2022, the “Baby” singer disclosed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that temporarily paralyzed parts of his face and led him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
As he described in an Instagram video at the time, this condition affected the nerve in his ear and his facial nerves, causing full paralysis on one side of his face. He noted that he couldn’t blink from one eye, smile on the affected side, or move the nostril on that side.
Moreover, Justin mentioned that eating became increasingly difficult for him during this period. However, the paralysis eventually subsided.
Hailey commented on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America, stating that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She acknowledged that it had been a scary and seemingly random situation but expressed gratitude that he was okay in the end.
Initially reluctant to disclose details, Jamie Foxx eventually revealed his experience following a hospitalization in April 2023. In his 2024 Netflix special, “What Had Happened Was…”, he recounted the incident: “One day in Atlanta, I complained of a severe headache and asked for an aspirin,” he said. “Before I could get it, I passed out. I can’t remember the next 20 days.”
After being examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, his sister Deidra Dixon drove him to another hospital where they discovered the cause: a brain hemorrhage resulting in a stroke. Twenty days later, following surgery, Foxx regained consciousness on May 4, confined to a wheelchair and unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
“I want to express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “as I truly believe they were essential to my recovery.
As a dedicated fan, I can share that I, much like Emilia Clarke, found myself embroiled in fierce conflicts on the set of Game of Thrones. However, my personal struggle was not confined to the fictional realm of Westeros. In 2019, I penned a poignant essay for The New Yorker titled “A Battle for My Life.”
One fateful day at the gym, I was struck by an excruciating headache that led me to the bathroom, where I became severely ill. The pain, a relentless combination of shooting, stabbing, and constricting sensations, was escalating. Somewhere deep within, I could sense my brain was injured.
Rushed to the hospital for scans, the diagnosis was swift and grim: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a potentially fatal type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding my brain. I had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in one of my arteries.
The initial surgery to seal the aneurysm was unbearably painful. During recovery, I struggled with aphasia, uttering nonsensical words. A week later, the aphasia subsided, and I was discharged from the hospital after a month-long stay.
A subsequent brain scan in 2013 revealed that the growth had doubled in size, necessitating another surgery. Upon waking from the procedure, I was writhing in pain. The doctors informed me that the operation had failed, and my chances of survival were precarious if they didn’t operate again. This time, they needed to access my brain through the traditional method—my skull.
Fortunately, I can now proudly say that I am back at a hundred percent. It’s an incredible feeling to have emerged victorious from this battle for my life.
Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, expresses her gratitude towards her family following a severe stroke in January 2024. After she alerted them via text and shared an image with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi, everyone rushed to help her.
Due to additional health issues, Cori’s hospital stay was longer than anticipated. She explained, “I could have left the hospital after my stroke, but my lupus wasn’t cooperating. My kidneys were failing, and there were many complications.”
Now, Cori is recovering well. She mentioned, “I’m doing well now. I just had to regain some motor skills, but otherwise, I was okay.
During the challenging health period of her twenties, Shailene Woodley experienced numerous issues that affected her hearing, mobility, and digestion. As she explained in a 2024 episode of the SHE MD Podcast, “Everything I ate would hurt my stomach, and I couldn’t walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for extended periods.” She was given conflicting diagnoses by different doctors, leading her on a decade-long quest for answers.
Being raised in a holistic environment and studying herbalism, Shailene sought solutions from both conventional medical professionals and alternative healers. “I wanted to work with real MDs,” she said, “but I also wanted to explore independent healing methods.”
Throughout this journey, other problems arose due to the discomfort she felt physically, such as fear of food, body dysmorphia, and confusion about her identity. Shailene, who starred in Big Little Lies, shared, “Feeling so much physical pain led me to develop an anxiety around food, which then resulted in mental struggles like body dysmorphia and identity issues.”
After dedicating herself to addressing both her physical and mental well-being, Shailene is now feeling healthier than ever. “I’m thrilled to say that I am healthy after this long journey,” she stated.
