The daughter of Robert De Niro and former partner Toukie Smith, now identifying as a transgender woman, has chosen to keep her Hollywood ties hidden from prospective partners until they’ve reached a significant point in their relationship.

In a recent interview with Pink News, I shared that I had made a personal rule not to disclose details about my parents unless they expressed their love for me first. This was something I followed even with my very first boyfriend.

However, the 29-year-old acknowledged that she’s grown less strict in applying her personal regulation, and there’s a solid explanation for this.

As I moved further into the person I am today, I decided, ‘It’s better to reveal it gradually, after we’ve had a conversation first.’

Following the conclusion of Airyn’s 10-year romance with her previous partner a year ago, she has recently revealed that she is once again using dating platforms such as Raya and Hinge to seek long-term affection.

However, it’s worth noting that despite the public statements made against her, there’s been one exception – her father, who swiftly expressed his support for her the very next day following the release of the interview.

In her conversation, she explained that when the song was released, many people perceived it as a powerful anthem for the LGBTQ+ community. Later, she took to Instagram Live to clarify her personal identity and intentions. She said, “I feel it’s important that I make this clear: I am indeed queer.
