As a long-time Marvel fan, I can confidently say that Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is nothing short of a dream come true! The news about him voicing Tony Stark for new attractions at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus has me absolutely thrilled.
It has been announced that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as both Victor Von Doom and Tony Stark within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This news came during Disney Parks’ D23 panel, where it was further revealed that Downey will lend his voice to the character of Tony Stark in upcoming attractions at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus.
Next year, the star attraction at the Stark Flight Lab will be under construction: a shared ride experience. In this adventure, you and your companion will team up in a single pod for a trial run through one of Stark’s suit-manufacturing facilities.
If you’re ready for another adventure, Tony Stark has one ready for you! Now, as you know, Tony is always seeking new and thrilling experiences, and this ride will make you feel like a real-life Super Hero. Disney recently announced the Stark Flight Lab, where you’ll sit in two-person pods and head to a test station. Then, a robot arm will pick up your pod and spin you around in a simulated flight!
Together with the Stark Flight Lab, there’s also the eagerly awaited Avengers Infinity Defense, an attraction starring King Thanos.
Prepare for a thrilling journey across multiple dimensions in the Avengers Infinity Defense experience! The technology that enables the Avengers to traverse worlds has mysteriously vanished, and malevolent force King Thanos is exploiting it to create chaos. Our team invites you on an exciting expedition where you’ll visit legendary spots such as Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City while joining forces with both prominent and lesser-known heroes. Be warned, there’s a chance you might encounter the ominous King Thanos yourself!
It’s been officially announced that Downey will be seen in both Avengers Campus and Avengers: Doomsday, and there is increasing chatter suggesting he might make an appearance in The Fantastic Four: Initial Steps too.
Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie lineup features “Captain America: A New World Order” on February 14th, 2025, followed by “Thunderbolts” on May 5th, 2025, then “The Fantastic Four: Initial Journey” on July 25th, 2025. Next up is “Blade” in November 7th, 2025, followed by “Avengers: Armageddon” on May 1st, 2026, and finally “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7th, 2027.
