Robert Sugden Set for Shocking Emmerdale Return After 6-Year Absence!

Fans of ‘Robron’ might be overjoyed, since rumors suggest that the character Robert Sugden, played by Ryan Hawley, will be back on Emmerdale.

Previously cunning character was spotted on ITV soap opera as recently as 2019, a time when Robert was jailed for avenging his sister Victoria by taking down her rapist, Lee Posner.

Currently, it’s announced by The Sun that Robert, who is adored due to his romantic relationship with Aaron Sugden, portrayed by Danny Miller, will make a comeback to the soap opera towards the end of this year.

Actor Ryan Hawley has reportedly started shooting temporary scenes as the character Robert, indicating it won’t result in a long-term comeback.

According to a source, Ryan expressed great admiration for the program and its audience, and he was eager to offer something special. Therefore, he consented to return for a short period.

They mentioned that they went to great lengths to ensure secrecy. This included using pseudonyms in the scripts, sneaking him in and out of studios, and maintaining a strict level of confidentiality.

Last year, it was the last time we received any news about Robert, as he agreed on letting his son Seb move in with Rebecca Windsor’s aunt, following the passing of Seb’s mother.

Audience members know that Aaron is set to wed John Sugden, who is Robert’s long-lost half-brother and portrayed by Oliver Farnsworth, in the upcoming period. However, Aaron remains oblivious to John’s true wicked character.

Lately, it’s become evident that John often finds himself in perilous situations, where he unintentionally ends up being the killer – as seen when he killed Nate Robinson (portrayed by Jurell Carter). This pattern suggests a repeated tendency to act heroically, only to inadvertently create disastrous and potentially harmful predicaments that he then resolves.

In the recent scenes, it was depicted that John assaulted his superior, Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), and made an effort to implicate Liam’s former girlfriend, Ella Forster (Paula Lane), in a series of ongoing criminal activities.

Despite John appearing aloof to many, his true character hasn’t deceived Aaron’s closest friend, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). Could it be Mackenzie who ultimately reveals John’s real persona, and might Robert serve as a helper in this situation?

Simultaneously, Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) begins to probe into the mysterious disappearance of his son, Nate.

We just hope Robert comes to Aaron’s aid – we’ve been begging for his return for a while now!
