Roberto Orci, Star Trek and Transformers writer, dies aged 51

The acclaimed screenwriter and producer Roberto Orci, who was instrumental in reviving the hit franchises Star Trek and Transformers during the late 2000s, passed away at the age of 51 as reported.

On Tuesday (25th February), the screenwriter of Mexican-American descent lost his life at his residence in Los Angeles due to complications from kidney disease, as reported by Variety.

Orci embarked on his television journey alongside enduring partner and comrade, Alex Kurtzman, working together on shows like Xena: Warrior Princess.

Together, the pair moved forward to jointly work on the revivals of Star Trek, Transformers, the Now You See Me series, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Ender’s Game, and Mission: Impossible III.
