Rocket League Servers Down: Fans Furious as Epic Games Struggles to Restore Online Play

The highly-acclaimed and swiftly-paced multiplayer game, Rocket League, has gained immense popularity due to its high skill potential. Originally created by Psyonix, it was later acquired by Epic Games who took over publishing duties, transforming the game into a free-to-play platform, expanding its reach. However, this acquisition wasn’t met with universal approval, as some players criticized Epic Games for several changes and problems that followed. Unfortunately, another problem has surfaced, disrupting players’ enjoyment of Rocket League. At present, all online services for Rocket League are down, rendering it impossible for players to participate in any game modes within the platform that require online features.

UPDATE: Servers Back Online

Epic Games managed to promptly reinstate the online play for Rocket League. The solution came rapidly when the servers malfunctioned, enabling gamers to return to the multiplayer side of Rocket League once again.

On the official Epic Games status page, it’s displayed that all features of Rocket League are currently offline, except for the website itself. To keep informed about when Rocket League’s online services will be back up and running, players can monitor the Epic Games status page.

Fans are naturally disappointed, more so since there’s no clear timeframe for when the service interruption will end. All services being labeled as a Major Outage suggests it might take some duration before players can resume playing Rocket League. Disappointed fans have turned to social media to vent their frustration, with some even requesting that Psyonix and Epic Games compensate them for the inconvenience.

Recently, there’s been an announcement that all online services for the game ‘Rocket League’ have stopped functioning. This news follows a significant PlayStation Network outage, although it’s unlikely these two events are connected. However, given the lengthy downtime experienced with PSN previously, fans of ‘Rocket League’ are understandably concerned about potential prolonged disruptions. Epic Games is currently working to fix the problem, but until they succeed, players will be unable to engage in online ‘Rocket League’ games.
