The VR Case Files, Video Games Deluxe, is set to be purchased by Rockstar Games. Additionally, it has been announced that the company behind Grand Theft Auto will now be called Rockstar Australia.
Led by Brendan McNamara, who established Team Bondi – the studio behind the creation of L.A. Noire, they are also accountable for the recent enhancements in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Jennifer Kolbe, head of publishing at Rockstar Games, expressed her excitement about Video Games Deluxe joining their team as part of Rockstar Australia.
McNamara stated, “Working side by side with Rockstar Games for the last ten years has been a privilege. We’re excited to be associated with Rockstar Games and look forward to continuing our work towards creating outstanding games.
Rockstar Australia’s fresh tasks and ventures remain undisclosed at the moment, so keep an eye out for further updates. It’s possible that they could be helping Rockstar North with the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto 6,” which is expected to release this Fall on Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
Located in contemporary Vice City, the game revolves around two main characters involved in criminal activities, with additional plot details still under wraps. After its unveiling in December 2023, Rockstar Games has remained silent about further gameplay or a release date. Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, hinted at possible delays for the launch, but no official confirmation has been made. Keep an eye out for future announcements.
