Rockstar Games Drops Trailer, But It’s Not GTA 6

Every day, countless gamers worldwide eagerly anticipate the possibility that this could be the day when we’ll see the long-awaited second trailer for GTA 6. However, today isn’t the day for such an exciting reveal.

Rockstar recently shared a trailer across their social media platforms, yet it’s not related to GTA 6. Without my hint, I’m confident that you wouldn’t be able to deduce its subject matter.

I’ll just embed the post, and you can see for yourself.

Indeed, you’re correct. It’s related to a film production. As far as I know, Rockstar has no connection with it. Despite my fondness for Danny Dyer, the fact that it seems absurd and may provoke laughter makes me inclined to watch it.

To be honest, it seems like Rockstar could just be having some fun here, given how eagerly the gaming community is anticipating even a hint of GTA 6. It’s as if we’re hooked on a potential release, much like characters in a movie about addiction might be. And it appears they’re getting a kick out of keeping us on our toes.

At least the replies, well, some of them, are pretty hilarious.

But seriously, when are we getting another GTA 6 trailer?

Sadly, there’s no definitive response as to when we’ll receive another trailer. However, it will undoubtedly cause a stir online once it’s officially released.

The much-awaited game, GTA 6, is widely considered one of the most eagerly expected titles ever. If GTA 5’s successor indeed releases this year, it would be eight years since GTA 5 debuted in 2013 – a considerable gap in gaming terms, equivalent to twelve years.

Over time, there have been enhanced editions released for Xbox One and PS4, followed by updates for Xbox Series X|S and PS5. Now, at last, this upgraded version has arrived on PC as well. GTA 5 is one of the best-selling games ever, with over 200 million copies sold so far, and its successor is expected to surpass that figure.

Among all games, only Minecraft and Tetris have surpassed the sales of GTA 5, which makes it clear that this particular franchise stands as an extraordinary phenomenon in the gaming world – it is the epitome of a big deal.

To put it simply, Rockstar Games doesn’t necessarily have to release anything new. If they were to “stealth drop” GTA 6, it would instantly become a hit. The game has a way of generating its own buzz, and the lack of updates for over a year only serves to intensify the excitement.

I’m fairly confident we’ll receive another trailer soon, though it’s somewhat tentative. However, I’ve already decided to purchase the game on its release date without a shadow of a doubt. GTA 5 was the last title I eagerly waited for at midnight, an era when such practices were common. Over time, many things have altered, but my affection for this series remains unchanged. For now, I suppose I’ll catch Marching Powder, not because Rockstar suggested it, but out of personal choice. Honestly.
