Rockstar Games Leak Reveals Bully Surprise

As a die-hard Bully fan who has been eagerly waiting for a sequel for two decades now, this recent development has left me both excited and skeptical. The fact that Rockstar Games has added a development branch to Bully: Scholarship Edition after a decade makes my heart race with anticipation. However, the history of canceled Bully 2 projects leaves me cautiously optimistic.

It appears that a recent leak from Rockstar Games hints at an unexpected development for Bully enthusiasts, a potential sequel to the game which was initially released by Rockstar in 2006 on PS2 and later on Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. Although the original game garnered significant popularity and commercial success, no sequel has been produced thus far. This is primarily due to the fact that Rockstar Games currently focuses on developing only Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption titles. In the past, there have been several attempts at creating a Bully 2, with some projects even reaching advanced stages, but all of these efforts eventually got cancelled before any official announcement was made.

Currently, there’s no confirmation about Bully 2, and it seems that Rockstar Games might not revisit the series. After the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 next year, they are expected to focus on Red Dead Redemption 3. By the time Red Dead Redemption 3 releases, we may be ready for Grand Theft Auto 7. This cycle could potentially continue indefinitely.

Although Bully fans haven’t got Bully 2 to eagerly await, they now have something new to keep an eye on. As Tez2 mentions across various social media platforms, Rockstar Games has set up a development branch for Bully: Scholarship Edition on SteamDB for the first time in over ten years. However, it’s still unclear why this change has occurred.

According to Tez2’s observation, this issue might be related to fixing the frequent crashes experienced in the PC version of GTAV, in preparation for the introduction of GTA+ support upon the release of the GTAV Gen9 edition on PC. While it could indeed point towards that, it may also hint at something bigger. At present, however, we are merely engaging in speculation.

It appears that some changes are taking place within the game. Whether these modifications relate to GTA+ remains uncertain; however, given that Rockstar Games wouldn’t typically tinker with the backend of Steam for no reason, it seems likely that they have something new up their sleeve.

Currently, Rockstar Games hasn’t responded to the recent leak or the speculations it sparked. It’s unlikely that this will change, given several factors, but should they choose to address the matter, we will promptly revise our account of events.
