Rollback: Fix to Abnormal Rotation Speed for Neuvillette’s Charged Attack

Rollback: Fix to Abnormal Rotation Speed for Neuvillette’s Charged Attack

Dear Travelers,

Following the release of Version 4.8, we’ve carefully considered the feedback we’ve received about the update, particularly concerning Neuvillette’s Charged Attack rotation speed issue. We value your opinions and have taken the time to read through each comment. We regret that this fix did not meet your expectations and recognize that any alteration to our characters can impact the trust and commitment of our players. Therefore, we deeply apologize for any disappointment caused.

Before this discovery, the development team found that under specific conditions, players could rotate Neuvillette quickly during his Charged Attack by altering sensitivity or mouse DPI settings. This enabled them to inflict 360-degree damage. However, for Travelers using various devices, replicating these results was challenging. Furthermore, the fast camera rotation led to a blurred game environment and enemies, which significantly diverged from the typical gaming experience.

As a gamer, I can tell you that the creators originally planned to keep Neuvillette’s Charged Attack damage steady during regular gameplay without altering Travelers’ intended controls. This means that players could easily maintain their normal rotation speed or shake as needed. With this objective in mind, we worked on adjusting the rotation speed to a suitable range, ensuring a consistent gaming experience for Travelers across various devices.

After taking into account various aspects and engaging in numerous conversations and experiments, the solution was introduced in Version 4.8.

As an avid Travelers player, I was thrilled when the long-awaited fix went live. However, upon trying it out for myself, I noticed that Neuvillette’s Charged Attack felt less fluid and more cumbersome than before. This was a mistake on our development team’s part, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to the community. We value your feedback and are working diligently to address this issue and restore the smooth gameplay experience that Travelers have come to expect.

Based on the valuable insights and recommendations we received from our valued Travelers, we will revert this modification in an upcoming release and reward each Traveler with 1,600 Primogems as a token of appreciation.

We’ll keep you informed about the exact timing for updates and distribution of reimbursements, so please remain patient.

Once more, we deeply apologize to our valued Travelers. Your unwavering support is the reason behind Genshin Impact’s success. In upcoming improvements, we will exercise greater care when making content decisions to ensure an optimal gaming experience for you.
