Rosie Fortescue promises to “set some records straight” in Beyond Chelsea

As a long-time fan of Made in Chelsea, I’m thrilled to see the return of some familiar faces in this new series, Beyond Chelsea. It’s intriguing to catch up with Binky, Rosie, and Lucy, who have all grown and evolved since their days on E4. The fact that they are sharing their lives beyond the glamour of Chelsea is a refreshing change and I can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to!

This time around, we’ll re-enter the world of Made in Chelsea, but there’s a twist! The Channel 4 crew will be taking us beyond the glamorous façade to give us a glimpse into the realities of life beyond Chelsea.

In a fresh two-part sequence, Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, and Lucy Watson will open up about their current lives, offering insights into their recent activities following their appearances on the initial program, inviting viewers to join them once more in their personal journeys.

Known as one of “Made in Chelsea’s most recognizable figures,” Rosie departed from the E4 series more than ten years back, and during her time on the program, she expressed that she had no plans to rejoin it.

The 34-year-old mentioned that the show was filmed distinctly from how Made in Chelsea was, and its setup of scenes varies significantly.

She added: “We’ve been close friends and I thought it was an enjoyable chance to switch things up a bit, film it in a new way [and] this time, it wasn’t solely about the drama. Instead, it offered a fascinating glimpse into our lives. Why not? We even got a chance to clarify some misunderstandings.

As for why the others decided to join the project, it was largely a similar sentiment.

Binky, who departed from the show back in 2017, characterized the latest installment as a “glimpse into realms surpassing what Made in Chelsea encompassed.” She openly acknowledged that it was “far more captivating to record.

My filming style has changed from what it was when I used to film Chelsea. Now, I have three children to attend to at home, so my approach has evolved to suit our current situation. It’s a method of filming that I believe works more effectively for us now compared to the past.

Over several seasons of “Made in Chelsea” during the 2010s, this group has faced their fair share of criticism and trolls. However, they claim to have grown more resilient and equipped to handle such comments.

Lucy remarked, “We have a good idea of the outcome, which is why making this decision was quite straightforward.

She went on to say: “Ever since I became a mother, I tend not to place much weight on other people’s views.

In my world, there are more significant matters demanding my attention. I’ve learned to shrug off harsh criticisms and online bullies, no longer allowing their negativity to sway me as I once did.

Beyond Chelsea starts on Tuesday 29th October at 10pm on E4 or stream on Channel 4.
