Ross Kemp Would Return to EastEnders for One Special Co-Star!

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but marvel at the significant 40th anniversary celebrations for EastEnders. However, the moment that truly stood out was none other than Ross Kemp reprising his role as Grant Mitchell – a return not seen since his brief appearance in 2016.

After some convincing, Grant made a comeback in eight episodes to aid his brother Phil (played by Steve McFadden) through his mental health issues in Walford. However, the role of Kemp has since been written out, as he has returned to his residence in Portugal.

Indeed, there’s much speculation among fans about whether Kemp might take up the role once more, maybe for good this time, and it seems that a specific fellow cast member could persuade him to make a comeback.

When The Sun questioned if McFadden could convince him, Kemp responded: “Yes, if he asks. He’s my friend and we have a close working relationship.

Nevertheless, he mentioned that a possible comeback hinges upon his ability to continue producing his documentary series and hosting the BBC program titled “Bridge of Lies,” a role he’s held since 2022.

“Working on EastEnders, if you’re in the major storylines it’s a very long day, ” he explained.

Steve’s job requires a great deal of energy, with demanding hours that can be quite challenging. Over three decades, he has managed to maintain an exceptional level of performance. That’s truly remarkable and deserves my utmost respect.

However, Kemp made it clear that he wouldn’t entirely rule out coming back to the soap opera. He said, “I’ll never reject the opportunity to work with Grant again.

Prior to his comeback this year, Kemp had expressed his warm recollections of his tenure on the BBC show.

As a seasoned movie critic, I must admit that EastEnders holds a profound place in my heart. To be asked to rejoin the cast as we prepare for this momentous milestone anniversary is nothing short of humbling.
