As the season finale of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches approaches rapidly, with only two episodes remaining, the tension surrounding Rowan (Alexandra Daddario) is escalating significantly. The pursuit of Lasher (Jack Huston) has taken them, namely Lark (Ben Feldman), Moira (Alyssa Jirrels), and Cortland (Harry Hamlin), across the ocean to their ancestral home in Killbride, Scotland. However, time is becoming a critical factor for the group as the Scottish Mayfairs have ominous intentions regarding Lasher, and Moira has inexplicably disappeared.
This week, I’m on a mission in “A Tangled Web” episode, as I’ve had enough and decide to track down Lasher myself. It won’t be a walk in the park, but I’m ready to take on the challenge like a Scottish Mayfair mama bear, willing to go the extra mile to reach my target. Don’t miss my determined pursuit in this exclusive sneak peek from Sunday’s episode, available in the video below!
Although Rowan intends to track down Lasher personally, she’s not the only one investigating this matter, albeit with distinct motivations. Throughout the season, we’ve witnessed Tongayi (Chirisa) also pursuing Lasher, but his recent relocation to the Talamasca Motherhouse in Amsterdam was due to losing Lasher to Albrecht’s treachery in New Orleans. This move turns out to be a significant event in Sip’s life – possibly influencing Lasher’s future actions as well. As a result, Sip gains fresh insights and begins to ask novel questions.
Chirisa explained to TV Insider that he’s no longer solely focused on the Talamasca’s objective to capture Lasher without question. Instead, each time he digs deeper, he finds only the instruction to apprehend him. However, a small piece of paper he saw burning hints at aspects of Lasher that were previously unknown.
When Lasher is brought to the Motherhouse, Chirisa believes this could be an opportunity for him to demand more information in return for his continued efforts. Essentially, he’s saying, “If you want me to keep going like this, you need to give me a bit more because I’m making my own decisions now.” He’s content to walk away if the Talamasca doesn’t cooperate and comply.
In essence, Chirisa wants to be informed so he can make decisions that not only benefit the Talamasca but also the family. This is when we start to see Sip’s thinking independent of the Talamasca, which adds an intriguing layer to his character development.
On Sunday, you can catch Anne Rice’s “Mayfair Witches” on both AMC and AMC+. The new episode titled “A Tangled Web” premieres on February 23rd, while the season 2 finale will be aired on March 2nd.
