Royal Baby Alert: Princess Beatrice Welcomes Second Child!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye—the latest royal baby has arrived.

In a post shared on January 29th, it was announced that Beatrice, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, together with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had welcomed their second child.

In a heartwarming announcement posted on Instagram, Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shared the news of their daughter’s arrival. Named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, she entered the world safely on the 22nd of January at precisely 12:57pm, tipping the scales at 4 pounds and 5 ounces.

The royal family initially announced the baby news in an official palace statement on October 1.

Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are overjoyed to share that they will welcome a new addition to their family in early spring. This joyous news has been shared with King Charles III, who is equally thrilled. Both families are ecstatic about the upcoming arrival.

The message included a picture of the newlyweds, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Windsor last July. Also featured was a photo showing Edoardo walking hand-in-hand with their 3-year-old daughter Sienna and his 7-year-old son Christopher Woolf – affectionately known as “Wolfie”. This son is shared with his ex-wife, Dara Huang.

Originally engaged in 2015 and splitting up in 2018 after three years together, Edoardo from London and Dara, a U.S.-based architect, have maintained a cooperative parenting relationship. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published in March, Dara mentioned, “Wolfie has been fortunate to receive support from both sets of parents.” She continued, “I just think, ‘The more, the merrier.’

Dara added that she feels “lucky to have such positive people” around who “embrace” her son.

After the news of baby number two, Beatrice’s mother couldn’t contain her joy and shared it openly. On Instagram, she wrote, “I can hardly find the words to express the happiness and anticipation I feel as you and Edo bring another precious child into your wonderful family.” She continued, “Our family is expanding, and with it, the love that envelops us only grows larger.

The Duchess of York expressed her eagerness for the opportunity to meet this newborn and create cherished moments with them.

In addition to the main content, the post included several delightful pictures of the 36-year-old mom and her daughter, Sienna. The last picture in the Instagram post showcased Sarah with both of her regal daughters – Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Gabriela Peacock shared with Vanity Fair in April that Sienna leads a delightful family life. In her view, Sienna seems to be more content than ever. Her husband is exceptional, and together, they make an ideal pair, working beautifully as a team. They are deeply happy and in love, and their compatibility is truly remarkable.

I had the privilege of joining a couple for their Christmas Day service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham back in 2019.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I was eagerly anticipating the royal wedding of this dynamic duo set for May 29th at The Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace, London. Yet, due to the unprecedented global spread of coronavirus, they have decided to postpone their big day and alter the venue. Adapting to the fluid situation has become a necessity for everyone these days.

On July 17, 2020, Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi got married at Windsor. The Queen found the ceremony quite delightful.
