A few familiar faces were royally missed during this holiday outing.
On Easter Sunday, April 20th, King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended the traditional Easter service held by the royal family at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, but Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children – Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6) – did not join them.
Reports indicate that this weekend, the Prince and Princess of Wales are choosing to stay at their countryside residence in Norfolk with their children, as they continue their school vacation.
The service was graced by various members of the Royal family, such as Princess Anne along with her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward together with his wife, the Duchess of Edinburgh (Sophie), Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as well as their daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
Apart from William and Kate, Anne’s son Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall (herself) and her spouse Mike Tindall, as well as Edward and Sophie’s daughter Lady Louise, were not present at the gathering.
Or, for a more casual style:
William and Kate weren’t the only ones missing from the event. Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, her husband Mike, and Lady Louise (Edward and Sophie’s daughter) also couldn’t make it.
Last year, for the second time in a row, I found myself taking a moment of reflection during the Royal family’s traditional Easter church gathering. This was particularly poignant because it fell just over a week after my dear friends William and Kate shared their personal news about her diagnosis with cancer in 2024. During such challenging times, I believe it is essential to prioritize health and well-being above all else, even when it means taking a step back from tradition.
Since then, the 43-year-old has attended various public events, one of which was the Royal family’s yearly Commonwealth Day service held at Westminster Abbey in London, in March.
In September, Kate shared that she had finished her chemotherapy treatment, and then, in January, she disclosed that she was cancer-free (in remission).
In my statement regarding X (formerly Twitter), the princess emphasized that she stays dedicated to her recovery. Just as those who have gone through a cancer diagnosis understand, it requires time to adapt to a changed routine. However, she is optimistic about the promising year ahead and looks forward to many exciting prospects. She expresses her gratitude for everyone’s ongoing support.
In March 2024, the King made his first significant public outing following his announcement about his cancer fight, as he joined the Royal family for their annual Easter church service.
This year’s holiday event will be attended by him, which is three weeks after a brief hospital stay he experienced post a regular cancer treatment check-up.
According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, confirmed by TopMob News on March 27th, the King encountered temporary side effects from his regular cancer treatment this morning, which necessitated a brief hospital stay for observation. As a result, all of His Majesty’s scheduled afternoon activities have been postponed.
After turning 76, he published a holiday greeting saying, “The world still needs three important qualities – faith, hope, and love. Among them, love is the most significant.” Wishing everyone a happy and tranquil Easter with these enduring truths in my thoughts and heart.

77-year-old Graham Craker, who served as a protective guard for the royal household, including Princes Harry and William, passed away in April.
Cracker was there along with the group when they found out that their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away. He took part in her funeral ceremonies.
In 2017, Craker shared with The New York Post that he had been standing at the back of the hearse, and Prince William looked up and recognized him. In response, Craker also looked towards him and gave a nod. It seemed that Prince William was reassured to see Craker accompanying his mother on her last journey.
On March 12th, Hugh Grosvenor, the godson of King Charles III, along with his wife Olivia Grosvenor, revealed they are expecting their initial child.
The duchess is due to give birth this coming summer, as reported by The Telegraph. The couple are overjoyed by the announcement and are eagerly anticipating the start of their family life together.
As a lifestyle advisor, I find it deeply saddening to share the news of the untimely passing of Prince Frederik, the cherished son of Prince Robert and his beloved spouse, Princess Julie. At just 22 years old, he bravely fought against PolG mitochondrial disease, a seldom-encountered genetic condition. His life was cut short on March 1st. My heartfelt condolences go out to the royal family during this difficult time.
In a statement, Robert praised Frederik, saying, “He’s our family’s Superhero, and he’s the same for countless friends, too. Thanks in large part to his PolG Foundation, his influence extends far beyond us. One of his superpowers was his knack for inspiring others and leading by example.
As a dedicated follower, I am pleased to share that on January 22nd, I successfully reached an agreement with News Group Newspapers, the entity behind The Sun and the now defunct News of the World. This legal action stemmed from claims made in 2019, alleging unlawful practices by journalists and private investigators associated with these newspapers, who were gathering information about the royal family.
The agreement required the company to provide “significant compensation,” along with a “clear and unambiguous apology” to Harry, and an admission of “extensive media coverage and serious invasions into his private life, as well as that of Princess Diana of Wales,” according to NBC News.
On January 14, the Princess of Wales shared the joyous news that her cancer is now in remission following successful completion of all treatments.
She expressed her sense of relief in being in remission and continues to concentrate on her recovery, as she shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th. It’s common knowledge that for those who have faced a cancer diagnosis, it takes a while to adapt to the new circumstances life presents.
She went on to say, “I’m excited for a rewarding year ahead,” and added, “there are many exciting things to come.
In a heartfelt manner, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, grieved the passing of her cherished rescued beagle, whom she welcomed into her home back in 2015, long before she met her future spouse, Prince Harry.
She posted on Instagram on January 7th, “I’ve shed so many tears I can’t even count – the kind of tears that lead you to step into the shower, hoping the water streaming over your face will miraculously erase them or convince you they don’t exist. But they do. And it’s alright if they do as well.
Meghan said, “Many thanks for all those years of selfless love, my dear Guy. You’ve enriched my life in ways that I can hardly express.
Edward “Ed” Pettifer, who is the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s previous nanny, Alexandra Pettifer (also known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke), was unfortunately among the victims of the New Year’s Day terror incident that occurred in New Orleans.
William expressed his shock and sadness over the unfortunate demise of Ed Pettifer, as he posted a message on Kate Middleton’s Instagram Stories on January 4th. His thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Pettifer family and everyone else who has been affected by this devastating event.
On January 1st, the former star of Suits – who deactivated her personal social media profiles prior to her 2018 wedding with Prince Harry – launched a standalone Instagram account for the first time.
The following day, it was revealed that she would be launching a fresh Netflix series called “With Love, Meghan“. As stated in a press statement, this series creatively redefines the lifestyle programming genre by combining instructional guides and open dialogues with friends, both old and new.
