Rumer Willis Reveals Unusual Bond with Sisters: Bath Time Together!

Rumer Willis isn’t ashamed of her family’s bond.

Rumer Willis, the oldest child of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has expressed disagreement with certain perspectives regarding how she nurtures her 23-month-old daughter Louetta. More precisely, she has resisted the notion of co-sleeping. Despite Louetta’s upcoming second birthday on April 18, Rumer is cherishing this phase and delaying its end as much as possible.

Speaking on the “What in the Winkler?” podcast on April 1st, I shared that this current phase may not persist indefinitely. Truthfully, I deeply wish for Lou to continue sharing our bed as she grows older, much like how I still do with my mom. To me, it doesn’t feel strange at all.

Rumer openly acknowledged that the unique lifestyle of her family might not be suitable for everyone else. Nevertheless, she and her sisters Scout (aged 33) and Tallulah (aged 31) remain unfazed by this and continue to share a strong bond as grown women.

She mentioned that we, her sisters and herself, continue to share bathing experiences together. Growing up, our home was a place where such practices were common, although some might find it unconventional or strange, she doesn’t feel the same way.

Since she believes in being closely connected with loved ones, it’s not embarrassing for Rumer to disclose that her child has never spent a single night apart from her.

The actress from Doctor Odessey mentioned that there might have been a fortnight where she was engrossed in a film project, and during this time, her childhood nanny inexplicably took her away – all while they were in Arkansas during the scorching heat of summer.

She mentioned that she had to go to the emergency room on our first night due to heat exhaustion. In response, she said something like, “You can’t keep doing this.

On more than one occasion, Rumer has openly shown her affection for her family. A prime example is when she, along with Scout and Tallulah, joined their mother Demi at the 2025 Oscars, lending their support during her Best Actress nomination.

In a seldom joint appearance, the three daughters of Demi, who she had during her thirteen-year union with Bruce, gracefully adorned themselves in stylish attire on the red carpet. This occasion was so noteworthy that Scout would’ve given anything to be there.

Scout shared with TopMob News in February, “I am absolutely thrilled, I couldn’t be more proud of her. It feels like the ultimate acknowledgment for a career and a lifetime of work dedicated to moving culture forward in deep and meaningful ways that she hasn’t been fully recognized for before.

Plus, Scout noted, “My mom is one of the smartest, wisest people I’ve ever met in my life.”

Emerging film celebrities, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, crossed paths at the August 1987 premiere of the cop comedy “Stakeout”. Interestingly, neither of them featured in the movie, but Demi attended to support one of its stars, her former fiancé, Emilio Estevez.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself recently single and intrigued by the idea of socializing. Notably, Demi – who was previously wedded to Freddy Moore between 1981 and 1985 – seems to share this sentiment and is ready for some quality time with others.

In my 2019 memoir, “Inside Out,” I immediately poured out my heart, expressing the intense desire that we shared – a deep longing to start our very own family and have children together.

In just a few months of knowing each other, they found themselves in Las Vegas to watch a boxing match, where they suddenly decided to get married. They exchanged vows at the Golden Nugget hotel on November 21, 1987. A month later, they held a larger wedding ceremony, with the legendary singer Little Richard performing the nuptials.

Demi later revealed in her book the challenges their marriage faced, with moments like Bruce expressing doubts about their marriage in 1990 being particularly tense. Yet, to the world, they appeared as a shining Hollywood couple until they declared their separation in 1998.

But they remained a family unit.

In an interview with Rolling Stone back in 2000, Bruce expressed that he still cherishes Demi deeply and their bond remains strong. They share three children together, whom they will continue to nurture as a united front. Despite the passage of time, their closeness may even surpass what it once was. They both understand that they have a lasting obligation towards their kids, and their friendship persists.

Demi has said she and Bruce started trying to have a child even before their whirlwind wedding.

It’s plausible that they achieved success, given the fact that their daughter Rumer Glenn Willis was born on August 16, 1988, in Paducah, KY, a location where her father was shooting the film “In Country” at that time.

For several years after Rumer’s birth, it seems that home videos documenting her delivery were the most popular entertainment pieces when her parents hosted gatherings.

In my own words, as a loyal devotee, I shared with Vanity Fair back in 1991 that during the entire 15-hour ordeal of childbirth, there was hardly ever a moment when Bruce wasn’t by my side. The only exception being a brief instance when I needed to step away to use the restroom once.

At the age of nine, Rumer experienced her parents’ separation. Yet, she continues to be astounded by their exceptional co-parenting abilities. She shared this sentiment with People magazine in October 2024, expressing, “We never had to divide our family holidays, Christmases, or birthdays.

In a 2015 interview with Larry King, she mentioned that they consistently prioritized attending family events collectively and worked hard to keep the family bond strong, preferring unity over division. This effort, she believed, left a significant impression.

On April 18, 2022, actress Rumer Willis became a mother to Louetta Isley Thomas, who was born with musician Derek Richard Thomas.

The actress from “My Divorce Party” revealed that she chose unique names for her baby by combining the monikers of her father’s beloved musicians: Louis Armstrong, Etta James, and the Isley Brothers.

Grandmother Demi described her as an absolute delight when she spoke with TopMob News in January 2024. It’s exactly like what everyone says – she brings endless fun and happiness, but the best part is that she allows you to retire early for a peaceful night’s rest.

In August 2024, Rumer and Derek parted ways, yet she acknowledged her parents graciously for setting an “incredible standard” in co-parenting.

In October 2024, Rumer shared with People that Derek remains her dearest friend, a bond that has stayed constant. She expressed that they’ve discovered a wonderful method to maintain their friendship and our joint parenthood. Both of us, she added, are overjoyed to have this for ourselves and for Lou as well.

Scout LaRue Willis was born on the 20th of July, 1991, in Sun Valley, Idaho. Her parents chose to raise their children outside of Hollywood during their formative years.

Not that they didn’t do glitz and glam.

During her pregnancy with her second child, Demi gained notoriety by gracing the August 1991 cover of Vanity Fair in a nude pose. This iconic maternity photoshoot has been frequently replicated since then.

“Pregnancy agrees with me,” she told the magazine. “I feel comfortable.”

In her childhood, Scout occasionally acted in some of her parents’ movies, but she leaned more towards photography and music. As a graduate of Brown University, Scout released her self-titled debut album in 2022.

However, she is fond of movies with depth, and prior to Demi receiving a Golden Globe for “The Substance”, Scout had highly praised her mother’s acting in that darkly amusing body horror film.

In an interview with Us Weekly in November 2024, Scout expressed, ‘I find her truly inspiring, and she exudes both natural beauty and incredible talent.’ She continued, ‘Her bravery in fully embracing herself in that space is nothing short of remarkable.’ Adding to the admiration, Scout noted, ‘Sharing herself with the world is a service, especially considering how many lives she’s touched, and her courage in doing so is truly commendable.’

Tallulah Belle Willis was born Feb. 3, 1994, in Hailey, Idaho.

In 2000, Bruce shared with Rolling Stone his perspective on various interpretations suggesting that his fatherhood of girls is divine retribution for past actions. However, he clarified that if given an opportunity, he would happily welcome three more daughters into his life, expressing his affection for them as they are truly wonderful.

The Willis-Moore family moved from Idaho to Los Angeles while Tallulah was in the third grade, which gave her a slightly Hollywood-influenced childhood compared to her siblings, and this experience wasn’t particularly positive for her.

The creator of the Wyllis clothing brand openly shared her journey towards sobriety at age 20, seeking treatment for depression at 25, and subsequently fighting anorexia. In a 2023 essay published in Vogue, she revealed that the medication prescribed for her ADHD, while beneficial, also served as an appetite suppressant, exacerbating her preoccupation with her weight.

Following another round of treatment, due to her father’s deterioration, which led to the disclosure of Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in March 2022, Tallulah was subsequently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to share a personal insight: The journey of recovery, I believe, is an enduring one. Yet, today, I am equipped with the right tools that allow me to be fully immersed in every aspect of life, and most importantly, in my unique bond with my father.

As your trusted guide for all things lifestyle, I’m thrilled to share that I recently became engaged to my beloved partner, Justin Acee, over the festive season. The proposal took place at his future mother-in-law’s home in Idaho, making sure a cherished family member was there to immortalize the magical moment on video.

After his divorce from Demi, Bruce didn’t envision another deep love coming his way. That was until he encountered Emma Heming, a Malta-born model, at their shared trainer’s gym in 2007.

Over the past decade, the actor from Die Hard admitted in an interview with W in 2009, he had been single and mostly unhappy. He described himself as being in a troubled state, a dark place. He didn’t believe that finding someone else would solve his problems. However, he would often say, “I’m alone but not lonely,” but in reality, he was just trying to deceive himself about his true feelings.

Once he began spending everyday moments with Emma, who is 23 years younger than him, “my daily life transformed into something significantly more joyful.

On March 21, 2009, they got married on a beach at their residence in Turks and Caicos. Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah were among the attendees, along with Demi and her then-spouse, Ashton Kutcher (they divorced in 2011 after six years of marriage).

On December 29, 2024, Emma, who openly discusses the challenges of her spouse’s health situation, shared a post expressing the boundless love that sustains her after 17 years together.

She expressed gratitude for knowing it, attributing this knowledge to him. Without hesitation, she would repeat the experience multiple times if given the chance.

As a passionate advocate for holistic living, I found myself in a transformative journey when my dear friend Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia followed by dementia. This life-altering event inspired me to take action, and so, alongside a like-minded partner, I established Make Time Wellness – a company dedicated to brain health and prenatal wellness supplements. In an effort to further spread our message of health and wellbeing, we also launched the Make Time Podcast.

In 2023, Emma emphasized to TopMob News that speaking up matters since it fosters action, promotes understanding, and encourages dialogue, which ultimately leads to change.

On April 1, 2012, Emma and Bruce became parents to baby girl Mabel Ray Willis, born in Los Angeles. However, their family later moved from L.A. to Bedford Hills, New York.

In 2017, Emma expressed to Elle Decor that one advantage of our residence lies in its proximity to the city. This arrangement allows us to enjoy a blend of urban and rural experiences.

Despite the physical space between them, the women of Willis-Moore managed to forge a strong connection: Scout, Tallulah, and Demi gathered together to mark Mabel’s graduation from sixth grade in June 2024.

“We love her!!!” Tallulah commented on Instagram. “7th grade here we go!”

Upon the arrival of Evelyn Penn Willis on May 5, 2014, Bruce couldn’t hide his joy as he had become the proud father of five daughters.

He shared with People a week after the event that they hadn’t known exactly what was to come until the baby was born. Regarding his views on leadership, he generally believes that women should take charge in all matters, as he feels they possess greater intelligence compared to men.

According to Emma’s account, Bruce effortlessly adapted to whatever came his way, and as she shared with Elle Decor, he was “amazing” at consistently dedicating his spare time to their daughters.

She remarked, “Given how accustomed he’s become to having children around for such a prolonged period, and realizing his personal time is no longer entirely his, he’s incredibly giving with it.

Emma clarified that they value being “traditional” by prioritizing their family above all else. They believe in instilling good manners and grace in their children, while also emphasizing the significance of learning and education. However, they encourage their kids to freely express themselves through various forms or behaviors, provided it’s reasonable. Above all, they strive to prevent their kids from feeling entitled, so they aim for a balanced upbringing as well as they can.

Meanwhile, Emma has been quite open with Mabel and Evelyn regarding her father’s state of health. At the same time, she’s making a conscious effort to generate joyful moments, such as posting videos from their latest girls’ vacation in Paris and adorning their house with Christmas decorations.
