As a long-time PS5 gamer, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the chance to perform those satisfying active reloads on my DualSense controller. It looks like my wait might soon come to an end, as rumors suggest that the Xbox Showcase could be unveiling a special bundle featuring the original Xbox 360 trilogy! Fingers crossed that these whispers prove true and I can finally scratch that active reload itch on another platform.
It’s been a while since we’ve been anticipating that Marcus Fenix will debut on PlayStation for the first time, and it seems like the much-discussed Gears of War Collection is about to be officially unveiled within the next two months. Likely, this move aims to introduce PS5 gamers to the series before the release of the upcoming game, Gears of War E-Day.
Microsoft’s vocal leader Phil Spencer has previously announced that they will display logos of all intended platforms during their presentations, ensuring transparency about which software will run on Sony’s system. This means no more secrets about where specific software might be available.
Originally, it was mentioned that extas1s anticipates minimal unexpected elements in the upcoming show. However, he expects to see titles such as Ninja Gaiden 4, the frequently debated Persona 4 Remake, and perhaps Hollow Knight: Silksong – though his certainty is not as high regarding the rumored Team Cherry title.
At the same event, we might expect previews of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, as well as Fable, with The Outer Worlds 2, a first-person RPG, serving as the grand finale.
It’s clear that there have been numerous changes with Xbox over the past year or so, making this program likely to be highly pertinent for PS5 users. Given the expectation of minimal exclusive titles from Microsoft in the future, it seems unlikely we’ll see a lot of content exclusive to Xbox moving forward.
