According to gaming insider NateDrake, it seems that this year could see the release of PS5 versions for both “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” and “Microsoft Flight Simulator”. This revelation has sparked a flurry of reports from other gaming media members about Microsoft’s third-party strategy. Notably, Jez Cordon from Windows Central supports NateDrake’s claims and even adds more games to the list.
As per Cordon’s report, in addition to Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator, the company plans to introduce Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and Age of Mythology on PlayStation 5.
Microsoft has unveiled DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 for the Sony platform, suggesting a possible increase in their presence on the PlayStation 5. With these additional releases, Microsoft could potentially emerge as one of the most prolific publishers on the PS5. Recent reports indicate that Microsoft regrets making Hellblade II an exclusive and is reportedly working to correct this decision.
Many PlayStation enthusiasts are bound to be thrilled at the prospect of playing Gears of War on PS5, as it’s rumored that the port will be the Ultimate Edition of the original game. This version was a typical remaster launched for Xbox One in 2015, while the updated version of Age of Mythology, known as the Retold edition, emerged last year.
