Rumors are swirling around about MultiVersus, the free-to-play fighting game by WB Games, and these rumors don’t seem very encouraging.
According to a well-known source, often associated with leaks, the upcoming Season 5 could potentially be the last one, contingent upon its success.
They assert that they’ve gotten this information from a highly reliable person, referring to Season 5 as a desperate attempt by MultiVersus.
In February, we can expect our seasonal overhaul to drop, bringing fresh fighters, battlefields, and costume options to enliven MultiVersus. As of now, the specific characters joining the roster remain a mystery, though there are whispers that Aquaman and Lola Bunny might be among them.
Initially, MultiVersus had a prolonged beta phase that propelled it to great heights of popularity. Following this, the game was temporarily taken offline for final preparations before its official release. It made its debut in May 2024, but since then, it’s been having trouble keeping its initial audience engaged.
According to Warner Bros., the game hasn’t been doing as well as expected, and the current player count on Steam isn’t particularly strong, standing at 336 active players when this was written.
