2025 could mark the year when the western audience finally catches up with the Kai no Kiseki series, as it’s been available in Japan for a full year now.
According to posts from a user named yupz on social media who is a fan of Trails, a Discord server that isn’t official but seems to be run by some members of NIS America, the publisher of many Trails games in the western world, may have accidentally revealed the English title for an upcoming game. This suggests that a formal announcement could be coming soon.
Indeed, it’s titled “Trails Beyond the Horizon,” a name that undeniably matches its nature. Additionally, one could make a case that the possible leak timing aligns with several other factors, such as the rumored release date for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
Though NISA won’t publish the remake, it’s important not to overlook some significant gaming events on the horizon. Of course, a Nintendo Direct is scheduled for today and Nintendo’s Switch 2 showcase is set for next month. It appears that the rumors are aligning rather intriguingly.
In every case, it’s yet to be seen if these leaks hold true. However, considering the situation, even if this Kai no Kiseki information proves to be false, we can expect NISA to share official updates sooner rather than later – especially since the 1st Chapter is aiming for an autumn/fall release window.
