There’s growing excitement about the potential announcement and release of Oblivion remake by Bethesda next month, as the initial leaker NateTheHate has provided an update to his earlier claim. On Twitter, he hints that both the unveiling and launch might occur in April, which is just around the corner. He further mentions that the time between the announcement and release could be very short, implying a quick or surprise release might happen.
It seems like the remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PS5 from Bethesda is almost certain now, and sources such as NateTheHate and VGC claim that we won’t have to wait much longer to experience it. Previous rumors about this project from earlier in the year suggested a release date of June 2025, but in a recent report by VGC, there are hints that the launch could happen even sooner.
According to recent reports, insiders claim that the PS5, Xbox Series X|S remake might be released as early as next month following discussions with sources. This assertion was made after NateTheHate was asked on Twitter about the project, and he mentioned that the reveal is set for “either this month or next month”. The tentative release date seems to be earlier than the initial June target, and Video Games Chronicle (VGC) even hints at a potential April launch.

It’s well known that Virtuos is managing the project, which collaborates with Konami on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. There are whispers suggesting this could be an Unreal Engine 5 launch, complete with significant upgrades to combat and stealth gameplay. Originally developed as an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive, the RPG later appeared on PS3 in 2007, a year after its debut.
