Rumour: Six Years of Assassin’s Creed RPGs, Remakes, Multiplayer Games Planned at Ubisoft

It seems like you might be enjoying Assassin’s Creed, as we anticipate that there will be plenty more of it in your future for some time to come.

It seems that Ubisoft has planned out the future of their franchise for the next six years, dividing it into three main categories: major role-playing games (RPGs), revamps of previous titles, and projects primarily centered on multiplayer experiences.

Based on the dependable insights from Insider Gaming, here’s a summary of their current knowledge about the well-loved series, including the way it is managed privately.

It appears that the strategy involves releasing nine Assassin’s Creed games within a span of six years; however, it’s crucial to understand that not all these games will be as grandiose as, for instance, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Apparent from reports, the larger projects, often called “RPGs,” seem to be aiming for a development period of around two to three years. Meanwhile, the mentioned remakes and multiplayer endeavors serve as interim releases during these intervals.

As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but get excited about the whispers of three upcoming remakes! One of them is the long-awaited Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake, which has been generating buzz for quite some time now. The identity of the second remake, however, remains a bit hazy for me at the moment – Insider Gaming hasn’t provided a clear picture yet.

The third, meanwhile, is simply pencilled in at this point.

In another update, the highly anticipated RPG titled ‘Scarlet’ follows ‘Hexe’, a game that was previously leaked and developed alongside ‘Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’. The release of Scarlet is scheduled for about two years after the conclusion of Shadows’ support, an intriguing piece of information in itself.

However, there are games like ‘Invictus’, which resembles Fall Guys in being a multiplayer title, and ‘Emerald’, which may focus on player-versus-environment (PvE), clearly indicating that Ubisoft’s numerous studios have plenty to work on.

How do you feel about everything that’s happening? Is it plausible that Ubisoft will actually publish nine Assassin’s Creed games within the upcoming five to six years? I hope they have good fortune and success with their projects – leave a comment with your thoughts below.
