On May 30th, the game “Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma” is set to release on both Nintendo Switch and Steam (PC) platforms, as confirmed by publishers Marvelous, Marvelous USA, and Marvelous Europe.

The upcoming January 16th edition of Weekly Famitsu magazine contains a detailed, sixteen-page spread about the culture-rich game “Rune Factory”, focusing on its narrative, characters like voice-acted protagonists Subaru (Junya Enoki) and Kaguya (Yuishikawa), their adorable pet Mocoron (Ai Kakuma), the game’s “fantasy life” mechanics, and the twelve potential love interests for the hero, including the enigmatic archaeologist Hina (Shiina Natsukawa) and sky-traveling adventurer Mauro. Story

Catastrophe struck in Azuma, an Eastern land, due to a massive object colliding, causing widespread destruction. The impact propelled chunks of earth up into the heavens and plunged pieces into the depths of the ocean. Once the ground split apart, the energy from the runes stopped flowing. Shortly after, the deities who controlled nature disappeared. The mountains disintegrated, and the fields lost their vitality, leaving the people bereft, even of hope.

In the morning, you are jolted awake by a vivid dream featuring clashing dragons. The details of its origin or purpose escape you, yet an inner voice seems to echo within your mind.
