In the realm of Ashenfall, the narrative unfolds as ancient dragons stir from their slumber. Given the potential peril this poses, players undertake a quest to locate and vanquish the Dragon Queen. Yet, the land is not just threatened by her; other dangerous factions abound.
The classic assortment of magical spells, swords, shields, and other equipment are at your disposal. However, what sets this world apart is the ability to construct buildings and homes for residence. Moreover, you can even harness magic to fell trees. Solo play is an option, but teaming up with others is also possible.
In Ashenfall, the awakened dragons spell trouble. Players seek the Dragon Queen to put a stop to this. There are other threats too. To survive, you can use weapons, magic, build homes, and even chop down trees. You can play alone or with friends.
A special “Ashenfall” teaser trailer showcases diverse settings, ranging from windmill-studded landscapes to decaying ruins, enchanted dungeons filled with ominous flora, and fetid swamps. The lighting and shadows are strikingly evident, as is the lush vegetation, while the water appears authentic with its ripples. There’s even a touch of snowfall and lightning.
