Ryan Edwards’s Proposal to Bentley Sparks Teen Mom Fans

Ryan Edwards is growing his family—with his son’s blessing.

After the star of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” revealed his engagement to Amanda Conner, fans got a glimpse of him earning approval from Bentley, his son with ex Maci Bookout, as well as Brandon, Amanda’s 12-year-old son, prior to the proposal.

In the April 24th episode of the Teen Mom spinoff, Ryan expressed to Brandon, “I needed everyone here because I wanted to ask: Is it alright with everyone if I propose to your mom? And, Bentley, would that be okay too?

Once both boys agreed with his decision, the 37-year-old, who is a father to 2-month-old daughter Presley with Amanda and also shares children Jagger (10) and Stella (5) with ex Mackenzie Standifer, revealed additional insights about his future plans.

“I’m going to ask her tonight,” he explained. “So, I’m going to get down on one knee.”

He went on to say, ‘Amanda possesses the ring.’ I purchased the ring quite some time back and carried it home with the intention of showing it to her. Eventually, she picked it up.

Because Amanda had the ring on, the mechanic got creative and bought a hose clamp, typically used for securing hoses on cars, from an auto supply store instead. Although the choice of accessory might have seemed unusual, Bentley was certainly impressed by his quick thinking.

As the 16-year-old observed, “That makes sense because you both like cars.” 

In January, Ryan knelt down next to a fire pit in their backyard, which was covered in snow, with Bentley and Brandon by his side.

Three months following the reality star’s announcement about Amanda’s pregnancy, he proposed. They explained that the birth of Presley in February symbolized a fresh start for their family after Ryan’s drug overdose in April 2023, with Amanda continuing her path to sobriety.

In a statement to People, the couple expressed their joy after the birth, saying, “Through tireless effort, we’ve strived to achieve our aspirations and establish a fresh start with all our kids. We eagerly anticipate becoming a vibrant, content family and are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and encouragement we’ve received.

In truth, Amanda confided to the media in October that she and Ryan were “happily settled and secure.

She expressed, “I find joy in this pregnancy and I’m given another opportunity at motherhood. As for Ryan, he finds himself in a position he hasn’t been in for quite some time. We are eager to progress beyond our past errors. With our loved ones by our side, we have a robust support system, and they are elated for this fresh start in our lives.

Currently, they are working towards establishing a harmonious co-parenting bond. In an interview with TopMob News back in 2023, Maci disclosed that Ryan has been more reliable and regular in his presence than perhaps he ever was previously.

In 2012, Maci discovered her long-term teammate, Taylor McKinney from Texas. The duo started expanding their group shortly thereafter. They were blessed with a daughter named Jayde in May 2015 and a son named Maverick the following year. Their wedding took place in Florida in October of the same year.

In 2023, TopMob News interviewed a woman who described her partner as her life companion, shared parenting responsibilities with, and business partner in their TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. She stated, “He’s simply my preferred one.” When reflecting on challenging times they’ve faced together, she expressed, “Despite the rough patches we’ve encountered, I still value him at the end of the day. I appreciate him. And even when I feel like punching him occasionally, it’s better for me to argue with him or experience difficult moments with him than never have a challenging time with anyone else.

Regardless of having different partners now, the MTV celebrities, who bonded during The Challenge production, remain joint parents for their child named Ryder.

From the very start of Cory being part of Ryder’s life, Cheyenne made it clear that what mattered most was not just how Cory wanted to be a dad, but also a parent. She didn’t want him to be a father who only showed up at fun times or for social media. Instead, she expected him to commit fully. Shooting for the reality show ‘Ex on the Beach’ might not seem like a romantic beginning, but fast forward several years and two children – daughters named Mila and Maya – later, Cory and former ‘Are You the One?’ contestant Taylor Selfridge are still leaving an impact in their relationship.

In 2023, he told TopMob News that they had recently purchased a new home. He also acknowledged the curiosity of many about their wedding plans. “We are indeed discussing it,” he said, explaining that although the ring has not yet been chosen and he hasn’t proposed to her yet, Taylor is eagerly awaiting this special moment. After marrying Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017, Ryan sought help at a rehab facility, and it was during this time that they welcomed their first child, Jagger, into the world in 2018.

Despite welcoming daughter Stella in January 2020, Mackenzie filed for divorce three years afterward. Now, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner, who is anticipating their first child together.

Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera when she was only 17 years old back in 2010.

Despite parting ways a year later, they’ve now established a harmonious coparenting relationship. Interestingly, Kailyn co-hosted her former podcast, Baby Mamas No Drama, with Vee Torres, Jo’s spouse. On some platform X, Kailyn penned, “We’ve traveled quite a distance since we were 18 years old. Kailyn is content in her relationship with Elijah Scott, as she believes they provide a solid base for each other. Despite experiencing numerous highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted at a positive turn in their lives to their followers in January 2022.
