As a long-time fan of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, I must say that my anticipation for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was through the roof. Having survived the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in countless gaming sessions and lived to tell the tale, I couldn’t wait to immerse myself once again in the haunting beauty and deadly danger of this post-apocalyptic world.
GSC Game World has released a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, outlining the positive reviews from critics. Check it out below or read our review – we gave it a nine out of ten, praising the visuals, world design, and tense atmosphere.
In the initial two days of release, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 managed to sell a million copies, with numerous other gamers jumping on board via Game Pass. Nevertheless, this survival sandbox shooter has faced criticism due to its numerous bugs and malfunctioning features such as A-Life 2.0. Since the launch, several patches have been deployed to tackle various progression issues and improve performance. GSC Game World has promised to resolve the problems associated with A-Life 2.0 in future updates.
The game “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” includes not only its main storyline but also two paid narrative extensions. Additionally, it will offer new features such as multiplayer functionality at a later time. As of now, the developer has not released an updated post-launch plan; therefore, we eagerly await further details over the next few weeks.
