S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Has Sold 1 Million Copies

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been an exhilarating experience. With over a million copies sold and countless more Stalkers joining the hunt via Game Pass, it feels like a virtual exodus to the Zone.

In just under two days since its release, GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has already reached a milestone of one million sales. Additionally, the developer announced that a significant number of additional players, or “Stalkers,” have signed up for the hunt through Game Pass.

Initially, the multiplayer shooting game on Steam experienced a robust launch, boasting more than 113,000 simultaneous players. At present, it has reached a high of 117,928 players, a figure that is likely to climb higher over the upcoming weekend. Regrettably, despite generally positive feedback, there have been numerous technical glitches and problems arising.

GSC Game World is currently addressing critical issues by working on hotfixes. More substantial updates will be rolled out later, with a roadmap for post-launch content and free updates being unveiled next month. Additionally, there are two paid story expansions in development, so we may get information about their release dates soon.

The video game titled “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” is now playable on Xbox Series X/S and personal computers. You can read our review to learn more about it – we awarded it a score of nine out of ten, appreciating the stunning graphics, decision-making aspects and their influence on the game world, as well as the engaging gameplay. However, we did point out some flaws in the voice acting and technical aspects.

It’s no surprise that the Zone feels a bit congested lately. With over a million copies sold, there are plenty of newcomers joining the artifact hunt thanks to Game Pass.

Our incredible journey is only just beginning, and the spirit of Chernobyl grows stronger within all of us.

Thank You, stalkers! ☢️
