As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating through post-apocalyptic landscapes, I can confidently say that the latest patch 1.1.3 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a breath of fresh air. The fixes, especially the one addressing the disappearing character issue in “The Road to the Foundation” mission, are much-needed and appreciated.
After the significant update 1.1 last week, GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been given several smaller updates to rectify problems. The most recent one, patch 1.1.3, is now accessible and resolves an issue in the story mission “The Road to the Foundation”, where a crucial character might vanish unexpectedly.
Other solutions encompass temporarily bypassing shader preheat to prevent crashing during the compilation process, rectifying ACCESS VIOLATION ERROR crashes, and addressing a glitch where axis inversion settings wouldn’t persist upon restart. Furthermore, if you’ve ever lost control after firing and then reloading or inspecting an artifact, this issue should now be resolved.
2021 marks the end of this year’s updates for “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” with Patch 1.1.3, but there’s still plenty more to come from GSC Game World! They’re currently planning a content roadmap set to launch at the start of 2025 and have plans for a next-gen patch to refresh “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” for play on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Keep an eye out for further updates in the upcoming months!
