Through a conversation with YouTube channel Radio Times Gaming (as reported by Pure Xbox), technical producer Yevhenii Kulyk confirmed that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will indeed offer modding support on Xbox Series X/S, just like its PC counterpart.
Kulyk mentioned that our gamers, particularly the long-time ones, are eagerly anticipating the inclusion of mod support in our game. He confirmed that we’re planning to make mods compatible with consoles, meaning they’ll also be accessible on Xbox alongside PC.
How comprehensive are we anticipating the modding tools for the console version to be? According to Kulyk, they will be quite extensive, enabling players to develop a wide range of mods in different sizes.
Kulyk mentioned they’re working on assembling an extensive toolkit, filled with essential tools, allowing mod creators to develop mods ranging from the tiniest ones up to complete overhauls of the game.
The video game titled “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” is scheduled to release on November 20, compatible with Xbox Series X/S and PC systems. Additionally, it will be accessible immediately upon release for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
