Sabrina Carpenter Narrowly Avoids Being Hit by Firework During Concert

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for talent and a soft spot for resilience, I must say that Sabrina Carpenter is truly a force to be reckoned with. Her recent escapade at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival showcased her quick thinking and adaptability in the face of unexpected pyrotechnics. It’s clear that she’s learned a thing or two from her days as a Disney Channel star, where improvisation was often the name of the game.

Good thing Sabrina Carpenter has good judgment—because she narrowly avoided a big injury.

On August 10th, during her concert at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival, the performer known for “Please Please Please” experienced a near accident involving the fireworks display in her performance.

In a video posted on an account that was once connected to X (Twitter), Sabrina was seen hastily leaping off a platform due to the sudden burst of fireworks. While her bandmates and other team members remained unfazed, the 24-year-old shouted and stumbled around on stage, glancing back at the fireworks and shielding her mouth.

And while the light show had Sabrina feeling thrown, she was able to move past the nonsense, and reflected fondly on the performance—which also featured a surprise appearance from Kacey Musgraves to sing “These Boots are Made For Walkin’” by Nancy Sinatra—on social media.

Sabrina expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post dated August 11th. “A big thank-you goes out to everyone who attended,” she said. “I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the incredible @spaceykacey, who joined me for a performance of Nancy Sinatra. And my deepest appreciation to my entire team and crew – every talented individual who contributed to making this show a success on and off stage, I adore you all so much.”

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Sabrina’s Outside Lands performance will mark the conclusion of her live shows until she unveils her forthcoming album, “Short n’ Sweet,” on August 23. Her enthusiasm for ushering in this new musical chapter is palpable, and it’s already been a whirlwind with the release of a music video starring her beau, Barry Keoghan, and her first Billboard No. 1 hit for “Please Please Please.” I can hardly wait to see what else she has in store!

She shared with Variety that she was delighted to have completed the album before any tracks were released, in an article published on August 6 about her recent achievements. She believes that sometimes writing is influenced by different perspectives after encountering specific life events. She’s hesitant to label it as ‘her dream album,’ as she doubts she could have envisioned this collection of songs a few years back.

Of the dream that Sabrina’s wildest imagination could not even muster includes extra support from her friend Taylor Swift, who congratulated the six-time 2024 VMA nominee for selling out her upcoming tour.

“Taylor commented on Sabrina’s latest Instagram post with, ‘Summer of Sabrina,’ hoping it lasts eternally.”
