Sacha Baron Cohen’s next film…..

We, along with many others, are avid admirers of his work, yet his last movie was “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” which came out in 2020. As for his next project, there’s a buzz about it in the studios at present. Initially intended for Universal Studios to distribute, Cohen required the film to be released prior to the 2020 US Presidential elections, but the studio couldn’t meet that deadline. Consequently, it was taken up by Amazon Studios, where it earned two Oscar nominations.

The most recent movie production faced a delay of more than a year because of work stoppages by SAG-AFTRA and the WGA, and due to this, the actor is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film in 2026 since he missed the opportunity to be part of the 2024 US Presidential election.

Currently, there’s not much information available about his upcoming movie. It seems that Universal might struggle to fit in a 2026 release date because that year appears to be quite busy for them. Their schedule includes several highly anticipated films such as Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” the Daniels’ unnamed sequel to “Everything, Everywhere All at Once,” “Shrek 5,” the new “Super Mario Bros” picture, another “Minions” film, and numerous other projects including Blumhouse productions. As a result, speculation suggests that this movie might be shopped around to other studios. There’s talk that Sacha Baron Cohen’s next project is generating a lot of buzz, and we could hear an official announcement soon.
