Sakamoto Days on Netflix Drops Exciting New Trailer: Watch

As a long-time anime enthusiast who has seen my fair share of action-packed series, I am beyond excited for the upcoming Netflix release of “Sakamoto Days“. The trailer alone has me hooked! The unique blend of humor, action, and suspense is something I’ve not encountered in recent anime, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

Netflix recently revealed a teaser for the upcoming anime “Sakamoto Days,” which is one of the most highly anticipated new shows slated for 2025. The anime version of Yuto Suzuki’s manga was first announced back in July, and since then, anticipation has been growing among fans due to casting updates, director Masaki Watanabe’s interviews, and an amazing new opening theme by the band Vaundy.

The recently unveiled trailer is a subtitled adaptation of the original trailer that came out in mid-November. Similar to previous previews, this new clip offers a glimpse into the story of Taro Sakamoto, a former assassin now enjoying tranquil family life. However, his old ways resurface as a group of lethal assassins pursue him for the billion yen bounty on his head. In the ensuing chaos, Sakamoto must defend his family and avoid taking any lives.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but be captivated by the unique concept unveiled in the trailer for Sakamoto Days. The visuals, masterfully crafted by Studio TMS Entertainment, are nothing short of breathtaking. However, the exact number of episodes has yet to be disclosed. What we do know is that this exciting series is being divided into two sections, with the initial installment set to drop on January 11, 2025. The second half will follow in July 2025. It’s rumored (though not officially confirmed) that each section will comprise 12 episodes, resulting in a full season of 24 episodes.

In a nutshell, our protagonist Taro Sakamoto was an unparalleled assassin, striking terror in the hearts of villains and inspiring respect among fellow killers. However, everything changed when he found himself smitten by love. He retired, got married, became a father, and then, surprisingly, gained weight! The rotund proprietor of your local convenience store is none other than this former legendary hit-man. Can he safeguard his family from peril in this unique blend of action and comedy? Buckle up for an exciting ride!

The main character Taro Sakamoto is portrayed by Tomokazu Sugita in this production. Anime enthusiasts will recognize Sugita from his roles such as Gintoki Sakata in “Gintama”, Gyomei Himejima in “Demon Slayer”, and Escanor in “The Seven Deadly Sins”. The cast also features Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shin Asakura, Ayane Sakura as Lu Xiaotang, Miyari Nemoto as Piisuke, Ryota Suzuki as Heisuke Mashimo, Hina Kino as Hana Sakamoto, and Nao Toyama as Aoi Sakamoto.

Enthusiasts are undeniably excited for the upcoming anime series Sakamoto Days, yet it’s just one of numerous fantastic new shows coming to Netflix soon. The streaming service is currently releasing the popular cultural sensation Dandadan and the often overlooked Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. Mononoke The Movie: Phantom In The Rain was recently well-received by critics. Upcoming releases include Season 2 of My Happy Marriage , Devil May Cry, The Summer Hikaru Died, and many others.
