Saoirse Ronan Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby With Husband Jack Lowden

Saoirse Ronan is preparing for a new role: mom.

As a die-hard admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement! It’s been revealed, through snaps acquired by the Daily Mail, that the radiant lady behind Lady Bird, that’s right, Saoirse Ronan herself, is anticipating her first bundle of joy with Jack Lowden. Oh, what a delightful tidbit of news for us all!

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed that Saoirse has been making headlines recently, as she’s been spotted out and about in London with her husband and their dog. Photos published by an outlet on May 31 show the actress proudly displaying a baby bump during one of their walks. Interestingly enough, pictures from more than a week prior also captured Saoirse at the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026 fashion show in France, where she donned a chic black lacy slip dress that was reminiscent of lingerie.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old and Jack, 34 – who tied the knot last summer and are now expecting in reality – have previously explored parenthood together on screen in the movie “Mary, Queen of Scots”. Interestingly, it was during the filming of this 2018 production, where Saoirse portrayed Mary, Queen of Scots and Jack played her husband, Lord Darnley, that their romantic storyline started.

Jack enthusiastically shared during a panel at the AOL’s BUILD series in December 2018 that it was incredible to work with Saoirse. He described her as a powerful natural entity, both on and off camera, who is fearless and an outstanding leader too.

After the movie was released, they managed to keep most of their romantic life private, but they were never shy about expressing their admiration for each other’s professional dedication.

In 2022, Saoirse expressed her full confidence in the actor from “Slow Horses” to People magazine. She explained, “I trust him implicitly, and I know when he says something’s functioning, it truly is, because he never sugarcoats things. So I believe that being able to rely on someone you completely trust is crucial. And he’s quite typical of a Scot in that if there’s an issue, he’s the first one to try and find a solution.

In 2023, whispers of their engagement grew following the sighting of the actress from “Little Women” wearing a diamond ring on her finger. However, it wasn’t until a year later that they publicly announced they had gotten married.

Following their wedding, they moved their relationship into the limelight, marking their first appearance as a married duo on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards where Jack was nominated. Even though the couple are very close now, Saoirse had once dreamt of such a tight bond between them.

She shared with USA Today in October, “Previously, I believed that you’d never have friends or a partner. Now, I realize how wrong I was, as I’ve built a fulfilling personal and social life.” It’s incredibly valuable to me now.

Given that their relationship blossomed on a film set, it’s quite appropriate that they are now working together, this time off-camera. They teamed up to create the 2024 movie titled “The Outrun“, with Saoirse not only producing but also playing a role in it. The reason they complement each other so well, according to Saoirse, is because they balance one another out.

She clarified that Jack is significantly more composed than herself. He often serves as her source of rationality. Despite the fact that they’ve spent their entire lives on film sets, both of them share a deep understanding and respect for the demands placed upon actors. They consistently aim to make actors feel secure in their work environment.

In “The Outrun,” Saoirse hinted about a possible future collaboration with the former Dunkirk co-star, as they didn’t appear together in the film.

She admitted that Jack had been hesitant for quite some time, but she’s managed to persuade him that it’s a fantastic plan. What’s exciting is that we could perform something jointly on stage.

At just nine years old, Saoirse Ronan made her acting debut on the Irish medical drama, The Clinic.

Ronan made her debut on the big screen for the first time in “I Could Never Be Your Woman”, where she appeared as character Izzie alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd.

The turning point for Ronan occurred when she landed the role of Briony Tallis in Joe Wright’s film adaption of “Atonement.

Praise poured in for Ronan’s acting in the movie, and the positive buzz continued to build as the awards season approached. When she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars at just 13 years old, she became one of the youngest women ever to be recognized with such an honor.

2009 marked the debut of Ronan’s first leading role in a movie with “The Lovely Bones,” a film based on the well-known novel of the same title, where she was cast.

In this story, the character of Susie Salmon played by Ronan experiences a brutal attack and subsequent murder. From beyond the grave, she serves as the narrative voice, observing as her family grapples with the emotional turmoil of their loss and the pursuit of justice for her death.

In the film “Hanna,” an actress of Irish and American heritage demonstrated her prowess in action scenes as she portrayed a character who, starting at just two years old, was meticulously trained to excel as a deadly assassin.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my fascination with Stephanie Meyer’s masterpiece, “The Host.” The captivating narrative had me hooked, and when I heard that Ronan was cast to play both Melanie and Wanderer in the film adaptation, I was simply blown away! Playing dual characters within a single body must have been quite a challenge, but her performance was nothing short of exceptional.

In this historical play, Ronan portrays Eilis Lacey, a woman from Ireland who finds herself pulled in two directions – her fresh start in Brooklyn and the ties to her old life back home.

Ronan’s acting skills were highly commended, earning her nominations for ‘Best Actress’ in the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs.

In this classic film reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s style, Ronan portrays Agatha, an exceptionally skilled pastry chef whose sweet treats become instrumental in rescuing the characters at some stage.

I can hardly contain my enthusiasm! It’s simply amazing to learn that Ronan and Anderson are teaming up once more, this time for the upcoming film, “The French Dispatch,” set to hit theaters in October of this very year. I just can’t wait to witness their magic on screen again!

Saoirse “Lady Bird” Ronan and Greta Gerwig gained widespread recognition when the film “Lady Bird” captivated audiences in 2017.

At the Golden Globes, Saoirse Ronan won her initial significant award for her convincing portrayal of Lady Bird, a high school student from a Catholic family who had a complex and authentic relationship with her mother.

For some time now, we’ve seen Ronan as a queen in our minds, but she officially took on the role when she portrayed Mary Queen of Scots opposite Margot Robbie in the 2018 movie.

Each new rendition of “Little Women” seems to capture the hearts of each successive generation, and this most recent adaptation might just be our all-time favorite.

Ronan took part with Gerwig again as they teamed up for their second project, with Ronan portraying Jo March, a determined and self-reliant writer whose aspirations demand respect.

Even though the question of whether Jo and Laurie ought to have ended up together has been a hot topic for several decades, isn’t it understandable that we might rekindle the discussion given that Timothée Chalamet is our subject?
