I’ve just learned about an exciting new game show called “Time is Money” airing in the afternoons, which will be fronted by none other than Sara Davies – a renowned businesswoman, entrepreneur, and familiar face from Dragons’ Den.
The series is often labeled as an intense “competitive trivia game,” featuring an intriguing spin. Unlike traditional quiz shows, contestants begin with their winnings at risk, and their goal is to outrun the clock to preserve their earnings.
Instead of earning money by answering questions correctly, they risk losing some of their initial prize for each question they get wrong. The last player standing gets to keep all the money they’ve successfully saved throughout the game.
In a statement, Sara Davies expressed her heartfelt joy at being in charge of “Time Is Money”. She mentioned that this program is truly unique, offering an intense, thrilling experience with genuine tension.

She went on to say: “It’s going to be quite the thrill ride with both excitement and stress, and I’m eagerly anticipating who will stay calm during the crunch.
“Get ready for a make or break adventure, because time really is money!”
The news about Time is Money’s commission emerges following ITV’s revelation that ITV1’s daytime viewership outnumbers the sum of Channel 4 and Channel 5 by double, and leads Netflix by a margin of 10 points in audience share.
It has highlighted successes including The Chase, Deal or No Deal, Lingo and Tipping Point.
It’s been terrific to witness the success of our daytime game shows in 2021, as The Chase, Deal or No Deal, Lingo, and Tipping Point have consistently pulled in high viewership numbers and attracted more viewers over time, according to Katie Rawcliffe, head of Entertainment & Daytime at ITV.
We’re delighted to announce that ‘Time Is Money’ is joining our daytime TV schedule, filling a niche we’ve been eager to fill. This show offers a thrilling combination of quick-witted quizzes and intense drama, making it a great fit alongside our current programming. Additionally, Sara Davies will be hosting the show, further enhancing our lineup.
In 2019, during the 17th series of Dragons’ Den, Davies took over from Jenny Campbell as a panel member. Since then, she has remained a part of the show.
