On September 24th, during an Instagram question-and-answer session, the designer behind Favorite Daughter took time to respond to a curious user inquiring about the current state of her relationship with Tommy Haas.
The user wrote, “You owe your long time listeners a discussion about your separation.”
Sara, 43, made it clear that she isn’t going to speak about her personal life—until she’s ready.
“I don’t think I owe anyone anything honestly,” she replied. “But I love you guys.”
The host of what’s known as the “World’s First Podcast” chose not to delve deeper into the recent split. Instead, she offered some guidance for someone wondering if rekindling a relationship with an ex was advisable.
“Getting back with an ex is never a good idea,” she wrote. “Total waste of time normally.”
According to reports on August 15th, it was announced that Sara and former professional tennis player, Tommy, called off their 17-year partnership, marking the end of their long relationship.
The pair are parents to daughters Valentina, 13, and Josephine, 8.
Later, during their August 15th episode of the World First Podcast, which they co-host with her sister Erin Foster, she openly expressed that she was creating room in her life and tearing down barriers.
She mentioned, “For quite a while, I’ve had walls surrounding me everywhere, but it’s only been within the past two years that I’ve come to the realization I no longer wish for those barriers. I’m not one to openly express my emotions, if you will.
Sara explained she now wanted to be more candid—and be with people who are as well.
She expressed, “I desire to be as transparent and unpredictable as an open can of intrigue, filled with surprises. I seek companions who embody this quality too. Currently, I have no patience for anything but that. That’s my current state. I’m trimming down my circle, left and right.
Sara and Tommy first crossed paths in the year 2006, and they became engaged in the subsequent three years. In the year 2023, Sara mentioned that she and Tommy were “effectively a married couple.
On the Acme Podcast, she shared that we’ve been a couple since I turned 25 years old. We now have two children, and our lives are deeply connected and shared.
