Initially, we’ll discuss her exit from AEW. During an interview on Busted Open, Saraya was questioned about why she decided to leave now, to which she responded that, despite enjoying her time with the company, she felt that there wasn’t much of a role suited for her there.

In AEW, my main goal was to contribute by constructing elements rather than seeking leadership positions. I never aspired to be the alpha, but instead, I wished to elevate women if it benefited them in any way, that was all I aimed for. However, I felt like I had achieved what I could and there wasn’t much more for me there. I believe my role was coming to an end and AEW no longer seemed to have a space for someone like me.

Saraya had brought up the potential for a bout with Mercedes Mone, but it appeared that the timing for this hypothetical plotline wouldn’t fit properly.

Saraya stated that there might have been another task with Mercedes, which she seemed eager to participate in. However, the key points are: Mercedes already had her storylines set, my contract was approaching its end and I wasn’t renewing after September. So, I decided not to pursue it. I wanted to take a short break from wrestling instead.

Saraya spoke positively about AEW and Tony Khan, mentioning that her departure was amicable and both parties wished each other success. Regarding her overall experience with AEW, Saraya stated that although some storylines or her usage might have received mixed reactions, she enjoyed every moment of it because it was fun for her.

It turns out, I’m genuinely thrilled about the stories I received because it allowed me to spend time with some truly remarkable women. Initially, I had the chance to assist Toni and later, I got to be around Ruby. Additionally, I had the opportunity to know Harley, whom I believe is a major star. So, while not everyone might have been satisfied with the storylines or my portrayal, I had an amazing experience.

I really enjoyed my experience backstage, and I must admit, it was quite enjoyable. To clarify, my wrestling career isn’t over yet, but who knows, I might have some exciting projects in store for the future that you’ll all appreciate. For now, I simply want to share that I had a fantastic time. If you didn’t care for what I was doing, that’s perfectly okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Sometimes, I even found myself wishing for different circumstances, but overall, I had a wonderful time.

During a break from wrestling to work on other endeavors, there’s been speculation about if she might rejoin WWE in the future. Saraya touched upon this possibility during her conversation with B4theBell.

During my signing event yesterday, a topic that surfaced repeatedly left me surprised. It seems I’ve harbored this insecurity for quite some time, a feeling that people don’t care about me and I need constant reassurance. Yet, many individuals express curiosity about whether I might return to that place, and honestly, I’m unsure. If an opportunity arises that would welcome me back there, perhaps it may happen. After all, who can truly predict the future? The saying “never say never” rings true here.

It’d be Paige, definitely Paige. I really love being Paige.” Later on, she further clarified: “If the opportunity arises, without a doubt, Paige. The same theme music, Paige, everything.
