Housemarque‘s shares reached an all-time high with the release of their first AAA title, Returnal. It seems that their upcoming game, Saros, revealed during Sony’s State of Play presentation, will follow a similar pattern in terms of quality and genre.
Saros is another science fiction roguelike third-person shooter, similar to Returnal, but with no connection to it. In this game, players assume the role of Soltari Enforcer Arjun Devraj, portrayed by Rahul Kohli. The action takes place on the planet Carcosa, a distant colony where events have taken a decidedly sinister turn, as suggested by an ominous eclipse.
According to Housemarque, the game includes ongoing advancement systems enabling players to enhance Arjun after every demise. Here’s a sneak peek at the trailer below, offering a taste of its exciting content.
Saros will launch in 2026 for PS5, and will also be PS5 Pro Enhanced.
