As a devoted cinema enthusiast, I’m eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the captivating series that delves into the exploits of a unique commando unit active during World War II. This time, we’ll leap forward to spring 1943, where the narrative will transition from the vibrant streets of Cairo to the heart of mainland Europe. In addition to previously seen characters such as Connor Swindells (playing Stirling), Sofia Boutella (as Eve Mansour) and Dominic West (in the role of Dudley Clarke,) the series will also introduce some new faces. These include Con O’Neill (known from “Happy Valley”) who takes on the character British Commander General Montgomery, as well as Mark Rowley (“The Last Kingdom”) and Jack Barton (“Heartstopper”,) portraying new SAS recruits named Jock McDiarmid and John Tonkin respectively.

The second season of this series is set in mainland Europe, and it’s hinted that it will push our protagonists to the very edge of their resilience, as announced by the BBC earlier.

In Spring of 1943, as David Stirling is held captive, Paddy Mayne assumes command of the Special Air Service (SAS). Their focus shifts from the battles in North Africa to the continent of Europe.
