Scar-Lead Salvation debut trailer, gameplay, details, and screenshots

Publishers Compile Heart and Neilo have unveiled the inaugural trailer, gameplay clips, details, and screenshots for their newly announced third-person shooter titled “Scar-Lead Salvation”. The anticipated title will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam starting May 29 in Japan.

1. For PlayStation 5, you can choose between physical and digital versions, but for PlayStation 4 and PC, it’s only digital.

2. Price-wise, the standard version is 8,580 yen, Special Edition goes up to 12,980 yen, and Digital Deluxe Edition comes in at 10,780 yen.

3. The Special Edition comes with a special box designed by marumoru, an art & setting materials book, the original soundtrack CD, a metal card case, a staff ID card, and two Willow serial number stickers.

4. Digital Deluxe Edition includes a digital art book and digital soundtrack.

Additionally, it’s important to mention that the distributor of the PC version is Idea Factory International, implying that perhaps the game “Scar-Lead Salvation” might be launched globally on May 29. Yet, this information remains unconfirmed at this time.

■ Characters

Willow Martin (voiced by Fairouz Ai) – The protagonist who has no memory of her past. Although she can’t remember anything, she gets caught up in battles against mechanical weapons. Her body moves instinctively, and she displays exceptional combat skills. Will she be able to escape her confined space and recover her lost memories?
AI (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) – A mysterious entity that suddenly starts speaking to Willow through her intercom. Despite sensing some hidden agenda in the voice calling itself “AI,” Willow ends up hearing it out. Who is this being, and why is it helping Willow?

Escape from the loop of repeated death.

With a high difficulty that even advanced players will find challenging, death is not the end.

Willow Awakens in a Mysterious Research Facility and is Attacked by Armed Machines

Once Willow perishes, she forfeits her weapons and has to replay the level from scratch. Dodge an unremitting hail of bullets, collect potent weaponry, and orchestrate a retaliation.

Enemies are armed machines. Fight off the numerous mechanical weapons that attack you.

Each enemy has its own method of attack, so determine the right strategy to avoid taking hits.

Use actions to gain the upper hand:

Mirage Shift – An ability that breaks down the body into data and transports it to a separate space. In addition to passing through attacks, it can be used to quickly move short distances or through the air.
Striker – A weapon mounted on your armor’s fist. Upon activation, it charges toward the target, dealing significant damage upon impact. It requires close proximity, making it risky, but the damage dealt is substantial.
