Scarlet Witch Attends Agatha’s House of Harkness School in New Marvel Comic

As a seasoned Marvel fan with a soft spot for magical realms and teenage angst, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the new digital Infinity Comic, House of Harkness! The idea of Wanda Maximoff as a rebellious student at this mystical school is not only intriguing but also a breath of fresh air. It’s like Harry Potter went to Hogwarts and found herself in a world where Agatha Harkness was the mean girl, complete with her centuries-old wisdom and cunning!

Prior to becoming the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff was a student at House of Harkness, a magical institution similar to Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is the backdrop for “House of Harkness”, a new digital Infinity Comic written by Preeti Chhibber (X-Men: Blood Hunt – Jubilee) and illustrated by Jodi Nishijima (Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse). The first issue of “House of Harkness” was published exclusively on Marvel Unlimited last Wednesday.

In a universe separate from the main Marvel Universe, the comic book series “House of Harkness” offers a fresh take on the characters Wanda and Agatha Harkness. Instead of being allies, they are depicted as teenage competitors at an elite magical school. This story unfolds before the September 18th debut of Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along on Disney+. In addition to Wanda’s brother, Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver, and other notable Marvel magic users, this digital comic includes some well-known sorcerers from the Marvel Universe.

In the upcoming series, figures who were once classmates of Wanda and Agatha are set to make an appearance. These include renowned sorcerers such as Stephen Strange and Loki, the spell-casting Nico Minoru from the Runaways group, the voodoo expert Jericho Drumm, and the sorceress Morgan le Fay, who was trained by Merlin himself. The storyline of this series promises to present a fresh perspective on beloved characters, ranging from heroes to villains, as a captivating enigma unfolds within the walls of the mystical House of Harkness.

Wanda is determined and aggressive, always knowing what she desires and taking the necessary steps to achieve it. At just sixteen, she finds herself in a magical school as a fresh student, amidst others who have been there honing their abilities for some time. The intrigue lies in observing how these core traits adapt and are influenced by an entirely novel environment, according to Chhibber’s remarks to Marvel.com. Wanda, having honed her skills independently, enters House of Harkness as a student years after everyone else. Despite her self-taught talent, she must navigate where she belongs in a world where Agatha holds significant influence.

Alongside Nishijima’s character sketches and artwork, Marvel has made them accessible in the gallery provided for the series. Right now, you can delve into issue #1 of House of Harkness on Marvel Unlimited.
