It feels like an eternity since we last got a glimpse of this delightfully quirky series, and with Bryan Lee O’Malley and Leslie Hung at the helm, I know it’s going to be worth the wait.
Dear fans of Lottie Person, we’re thrilled to announce our return! Specifically, you can expect us again starting December 4th. In a recent announcement, Image Comics revealed that the beloved Snotgirl series by Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of Scott Pilgrim, and artist Leslie Hung will make a comeback with issue #16. This upcoming issue marks the start of a fresh storyline for the ongoing series and finds fashion influencer Lottie Person in an official relationship with Caroline. The question now is: what fresh trouble awaits them next?
According to O’Malley, this comic was carefully matured over a period of four years to achieve the ideal crystal structure. He predicts it will provide an exceptional texture when consumed.
Hung added, “Finally, some good food.”

The announcement of Snotgirl #16 has been made, about a month following when creators O’Malley and Hung hinted at the comic’s return on social media, also celebrating its character’s birthday. Previously, O’Malley had posted an image simply captioned “No. 16”, suggesting the sixteenth issue of the series, and revealing they had submitted paperwork for the next installment. Fans were hopeful yet cautious as this wasn’t the first hint at Snotgirl’s return. In fact, in 2022, Hung had mentioned a potential comeback in October 2023, but that did not materialize. The last new issue of Snotgirl was published in March 2020, and even that one took several months to be released.
Originally launched in 2016, the comic Snotgirl chronicles the life of Lottie Person, otherwise known as Snotgirl, a social media sensation and influencer. Despite appearing put-together online, Lottie’s personal life is far from perfect: she’s still hung up on her ex, dislikes most of her friends, and grapples with severe allergies that often leave her in a mess. However, everything changes when she encounters the flawless Caroline at a coffee shop. Caroline is another influencer who manages to keep it all together, but misfortune seems to dog her steps wherever she goes.
At the moment, the graphic novel series titled “Snotgirl” can be found in three compilation editions: “Snotgirl Vol.1“, “Snotgirl Vol. 2“, and “Snotgirl Vol. 3“. The next issue, “Snotgirl #16“, will be released on December 4th.
