As a long-time gamer and avid fan of both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Dark Horse Comics’ upcoming line of comics, graphic novels, and art books for these beloved franchises. When I was a kid, I used to dream of being involved in creating stories set in the rich worlds of D&D and MTG. And now, as an adult, that dream is coming true!
As an avid gamer and comic book fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! Dark Horse Comics has just announced their intentions to enter the world of tabletop gaming comics with a new publishing line dedicated to both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. Get ready for an epic summer 2025 launch filled with comics, graphic novels, and art books!
Dark Horse has a long history of publishing comic adaptations for “Magic: The Gathering,” and more recently, they teamed up with Wizards of the Coast to create miniseries based on “Stranger Things” and “Dungeons & Dragons.” (Dark Horse holds the rights to produce “Stranger Things” comics.) Additionally, Dark Horse offers a wide range of “Critical Role” comics, which includes both monthly issues and graphic novels that delve deeper into the beloved web-series.
If I had told my 12-year-old self that I would collaborate with remarkable writers and artists to create comics for Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, and be guided by such considerate and imaginative guardians of these brands, I wouldn’t have imagined it possible. Working with Wizards of the Coast is a long-held dream come true for me.
