As a long-time comic book and Marvel Universe fan, I am beyond excited for what 2025 has in store for the Fantastic Four! The upcoming live-action movie under the Marvel Studios banner is a game-changer for this iconic superhero team. I’ve grown up reading and loving the adventures of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, so seeing them come to life on the big screen with such an impressive cast is truly a dream come true.
I’m excitedly looking forward to 2025 as a fan of the Fantastic Four! Next year brings us “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” the first movie about the team produced under Marvel Studios and linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At San Diego Comic-Con, the Fantastic Four stole the show during Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel. In the comic world, Ryan North has been crafting a fresh take on the Fantastic Four with a new series that debuted in 2022. With an MCU movie on the horizon, you can bet that Marvel’s Fantastic Four will be in the spotlight, and based on the latest teaser art, it seems they have some exciting plans up their sleeves!
During the Marvel Diamond Retailer lunch at SDCC on Friday, it was revealed that Marvel has a secret Fantastic Four project planned for 2025. The teaser artwork consists of a straightforward countdown using the FF logo, which intriguingly omits the number “4.” At present, no further details about this project have been disclosed, apart from its release year, which coincides with the anticipated live-action Fantastic Four film. This upcoming movie features Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch/Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm. Julia Garner portrays the female version of Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson takes on the role of Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.
Marvel teases Fantastic Four and Galactus with SDCC drone show
As a devoted fan, I was thrilled when Marvel Studios illuminated the San Diego evening with an breathtaking drone display showcasing the Fantastic Four and Galactus. The first night of Comic-Con concluded with an engrossing panel about Deadpool and Wolverine, followed by an exclusive movie screening. Afterward, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige urged the Hall H crowd to gaze upward at Petco Park, where a captivating drone spectacle hinted at the Marvel Studios Hall H panel’s surprise on Saturday night. While no official announcements have been made yet, it’s safe to assume that fans will have the opportunity to interact with the cast of The Fantastic Four in 2025.
Marvel’s social media posts showcased a video of drones arranging themselves to form the iconic head of Galactus, portrayed by Ralph Ineson in “The Fantastic Four.” As foreboding music plays, Galactus’ head emerges from Petco Park. This depiction of Galactus is true to the comics and contrasts starkly with the giant purple stormcloud that graced the screen in 2007’s “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” Following the Galactus sneak peek, the drones rearrange themselves to display the Fantastic Four logo. The logo is emphasized in a manner reminiscent of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch’s promotional materials.
