As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Sea of Thieves has truly left an indelible mark on the gaming landscape, especially on the PS5. Having followed its journey since its original launch, it’s quite remarkable to witness its meteoric rise in popularity and success.
Ever since Sea of Thieves dropped as a PS5 exclusive, it’s been one wild ride! According to the scuttlebutt I heard from Windows Central, this game has already sailed past the million mark in copies sold on my beloved PlayStation 5 since April. Now, ol’ Microsoft hasn’t given us the exact numbers for this swashbuckling multiplayer adventure just yet, but it’s safe to say that it’s been a treasure trove of success!
As a gamer, I can’t help but brag about my latest gaming conquest – Sea of Thieves on PS5! In its debut month alone, it dominated the EU download charts and snatched third place in the US/Canada rankings. But here’s the real kicker: the very next month, it ascended to the number one spot on the US/Canada charts! It’s safe to say that this pirate adventure is setting sail for stardom!
Just before its debut on PlayStation, developer Rare shared that Sea of Thieves had surpassed 40 million players since its initial release. However, the developer hasn’t released a new player count after the game’s launch on PS5.
Among four Xbox games, Sea of Thieves, along with Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Grounded, were made available on other platforms as well.
