Sean “Diddy” Combs is back in court.
On the 19th day of the rap mogul’s sex trafficking trial, proceedings recommenced on June 9, as reported by the NBC News journalists present, after my defense team petitioned for a second time for a mistrial.
Over the weekend, attorney Alexandra Shapiro submitted a motion to the court, as reported by TopMob News, stating that Cassie Ventura and her friend Bryana Bongolan had lied about an incident in 2016 where they claimed Diddy (Combs) dangled them from a balcony on the 17th floor.
His legal team, whose initial motion was rejected by Judge Arun Subramanian on May 28, alleged that the prosecution engaged in misbehavior by presenting false or dishonest testimony.
The prosecution will respond to the motion and the judge is set to respond June 10.
With the jury still deliberating, Jane (previously known as Victim-2 during the trial) has resumed her position on the witness stand after delivering a heartfelt testimony detailing accusations of abuse in her past relationship.
As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way: During those hotel rendezvous, which some might call “freak offs,” I found myself drawn into situations where I felt compelled to engage in intimate encounters with men, all because my financial well-being was entwined with him, Combs. The terms may vary, but the circumstances, as detailed in the indictment and corroborated by Ventura and others, painted a picture of an unsettling reality for me.
She explained to the jury on June 6th that it was her financial obligation which grew from her partner covering her rent. If she resisted his sexual advances, he would respond by implying that if she wanted to end things, that was fine, but she might need an extra three months in the house because he wasn’t planning on continuing to pay for a woman’s accommodation whom he wasn’t seeing.
In April 2023, two years into their relationship, he started covering her housing expenses, and up until now, he’s continued to do so, following the alleged proposition of what seemed like a “love contract” in the previous month.
During her testimony, Jane found herself overcome with emotion as she spoke about the “birthday hotel night” that she had asked not to discuss.
She informed the jury that she simply remained seated on the couch, preparing herself for intimacy to hasten the matter. Upon asking Sean for a condom, she described his reaction as disapproving. He gave her a disdainful look and said something along the lines of, “Don’t even think about asking for one.
After Combs allegedly handing the escort the condom, she said he was “so dismissive.”
She declared that he departed, and during the entire incident, his expression of dismay was evident. This sight filled me with a heavy heart. All I desired was for it to conclude swiftly.

On the 18th day of the trial, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers submitted a request for a mistrial on June 7. They contended that his ex, Cassie Ventura, and her friend Bryana Bongolan had given false testimony about the latter being suspended from the 17th-floor balcony by the rap mogul.
lawyers representing Combs, whose request for a mistrial was declined by Judge Arun Subramanian, alleged that the prosecution had acted inappropriately by presenting false or misleading testimony.
The letter states that during this trial, the government has provided evidence which they either knew was untrue or failed to verify its accuracy, regarding their claim that Mr. Combs had dangled Bryana Bongolan from Cassie Ventura’s balcony in September 2016. To prevent an unfair verdict in this case, it is recommended that the court declare a mistrial.
In a different phrasing, here’s how we can put it:
The defense claims that Bongolan fabricated details regarding the event, citing certain discrepancies in her account of what happened. The prosecution plans to counter this on June 9th, and the judge will deliver his decision the following day.
Jane, formerly known as Victim-2 in court documents, testified that starting from April 2023, about two years into their relationship, Sean Combs (the rap mogul) began covering her home rent expenses. She mentioned that they had agreed a month prior to this arrangement that he would provide her with a regular allowance.
On that ‘hotel night’, as I recall, it was when Sean presented the idea of our ‘love contract’ to me,” she explained to the jury. “In other words, he asked me about my desired amount for an allowance between us.
month, just moving forward, that’s what he was going to do for me.”
She mentioned that she specified a budget of 15,000, but he countered with 10,000. This was her explanation regarding the allowance. After searching for new accommodations, she relocated to a fresh dwelling and utilized that amount. Her desire was to find something sizable and roomy for both her and her child, a place where they could unwind together. It served as a sanctuary, providing a balance in their relationship. She had been bestowing all her affection upon him, and this was his way of reciprocating.
According to Jane’s statement, as stipulated in the contract, she should be given money, without any undue haste, for a period of two years.
Jane shared that she frequently experienced both urinary tract infections and yeast infections, almost weekly, due to extended periods of sexual activity. To manage these issues, she regularly took antibiotics. She also confessed that she sometimes had sex before fully recovering from her UTIs and often felt soreness in her pelvic region during every night spent at hotels, amounting to 100% of those occasions.
The witness further disclosed that she experienced discomfort in her shoulders and back while engaging in sexual activities. Additionally, she mentioned, “I found myself on the very edge of the chair or the bed, assuming positions he preferred during foreplay with these men.
Jane stated that, even though she endured discomfort, she chose not to inform Combs about it as she preferred to avoid conveying any negative sentiments.
I ardently assert that my suffering wasn’t confined to our shared bedroom. To the esteemed jurors, I revealed my personal experience of getting my nipples pierced upon his demand, as he had expressed it would “ignite a passion within him and was precisely what he yearned from his lady.
She said she removed the piercings because they “snagged and bled and got infected.”
However, she testified that Combs was unhappy with her decision.
She claimed that at the beginning, he appeared to be accepting of the situation. However, as time went on and I took longer to complete the task, I sensed that he was growing restless.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I might rephrase that by saying, “He often expressed his preference for piercings, commenting something like, ‘Next time we meet, I expect to see your piercings.’
2023 marked my unforgettable birthday, but instead of celebrating freely as I had hoped, I found myself unwillingly involved in an extended “hotel affair” that lasted for hours. It was certainly not the birthday bash I had dreamt of!
Even though he was reportedly informed multiple times by her that she wasn’t interested, and the incident closely resembled Ventura’s experiences at “freak offs”, she claimed that he unexpectedly arranged for an “entertainer” to join their dinner instead.
The witness, who dated Combs from 2021 to 2024, stated that she had dressed up for him. They were having a sushi dinner together. She was overjoyed to be with her boyfriend and expressed how wonderful it was to be in his presence. He then mentioned his enthusiasm to see the performer later on.
She went on to say, “I hadn’t anticipated this,” and then she exclaimed, “‘An entertainer?’ I was speechless. But he replied, ‘Today is your birthday! Let’s celebrate.’ So, I simply went along with it.
Jane, who shed tears while testifying, expressed that the escort seemed more like a stranger to her than anyone else.
On my birthday, I didn’t feel like doing what she had planned, as she stated. Instead, she chose to remain on the couch, preparing herself for an intimate moment with Sean, hoping to swiftly finish the encounter. She requested a condom from him. However, Sean reacted negatively, giving her a disapproving look and saying something along the lines of, “You shouldn’t be asking for a condom.
Following the report that the rap magnate reportedly gave the escort birth control, “Jane” expressed that he seemed incredibly indifferent or disregarding.
She declared, “He was leaving, as I observed. His demeanor expressed deep disappointment during the unfolding events. It left me quite disheartened. I simply wished for it to end.
Jane claimed that her longest “overnight stay” at a hotel occurred over New Year’s Eve in 2022, lasting approximately 3 to 3.5 days. She admitted to using ecstasy, caffeine, water, and protein shakes to keep awake throughout the extended all-night sexual encounter.
Jane stated that she asked Combs multiple times for the male escorts to use a condom during their hotel stays, but he supposedly declined her request.
She informed the jury that his reaction was close to being enraged and manipulative. He didn’t wish to discuss the topic… rather, he wanted to change it. His words were, ‘It wasn’t going to be discussed any further, so stop bringing it up.’ He also expressed that he didn’t want to be reminded of a rubber while he was observing.
“Jane” shared insight into her decision to participate in orchestrated sex acts with the rap mogul.
She stated that it was rumored, or suggested by the founder of Bad Boy Records, that he might incorporate escorts and voyeurism within a private setting.
She informed the jury, “I agreed because it appeared as if he desired it and it aroused him, and at that moment, I was quite engrossed in my partner.
She claimed that Combs contacted a male acquaintance, whom she admitted to having slept with prior to their sexual encounter. This incident, she stated, created an unconventional and enjoyable atmosphere, which shaped the course of their subsequent relationship.
She testified, saying, ‘That night seemed to unleash a torrent of issues in our relationship, much like when Pandora opened her box.’ She continued, ‘There were simply too many problems that followed and it became overwhelming.’
According to her account, approximately 90% of the times when she encountered Combs, she claimed to have witnessed him engaging in sexual activities with another person in front of her. She stated that these sexual encounters persisted for a duration ranging from 24 to 36 hours, without any breaks for rest. Moreover, she expressed feeling obligated due to the understanding that he was responsible for covering her rent expenses.
Jane explained that, due to her financial dependence on Sean “Diddy” Combs, she felt compelled to continue engaging in sexual encounters with him against her will.
She admitted that her sense of duty grew from the reality that her partner was covering her rental expenses. Moreover, she mentioned that if she resisted his sexual advances, he would retort with comments such as “If you want to split up, that’s alright. But do you need an additional three months in the house? Because I’m not going to keep paying for a woman’s rent whom I’m not even seeing.
She claimed that a significant portion of her earnings stemmed from social media, but asserted that this income source began to decrease as her activity on social media significantly decreased following her decision to focus on her relationship with Combs.
As a devoted admirer, I’d share that my sole means of financial sustenance shifted exclusively towards child support payments from another gentleman, alongside the generous contributions by Diddy (Sean Combs).
As a lifestyle expert, I found myself testifying for the very first time on June 5th, a day that held significant importance in my journey. Previously, I was often referred to as “Victim 2” in connection with the federal indictment against Combs, but now, I’m more than just a label – I’m a voice, a person sharing her story.
As “Jane,” I couldn’t help but confess my heartfelt admiration for the magnate during our getaway to sunny Miami in the early months of 2021. In the beginning of our courtship, we indulged in hours-long, consensual moments of intimacy, often enhanced by the playful use of baby oil.
However, as Jane testified, he orchestrated an instance where she would engage in sexual activity with another person in his presence for the first time. Reluctantly, she shared that it was because “he was covering my rent expenses.
In the indictment and as described by Ventura and various witnesses, those instances were sometimes referred to as “freak-outs.” However, they were also known as “times of debauchery” or “hotel nights,” according to what Jane stated.
These periods extended from 24 to 30 continuous hours without rest, often involving more than one person, she went on explaining.
According to Jane’s testimony, there were instances where she felt compelled to suppress her true feelings on multiple occasions when dealing with different individuals.
In the end, she no longer worked or traveled, waiting for Combs’ needs and having all her costs covered along with childcare arrangements made for her, as a solo parent, Jane explained.
She informed the court, “I felt it was my duty to perform alongside him. When I was with Sean, I became completely engrossed by him.
As a devoted supporter, I found myself in a situation where I, Subramanian, cautioned Combs that if the defendant continued to make facial expressions towards the jury, I would take action to have him removed from the courtroom.
The judge instructed Combs’ legal team during court proceedings on June 5, emphasizing that there should be no facial expressions shown to the jury. He made it abundantly clear by saying, “I couldn’t have been more explicit. There was a moment in questioning where your client was giving strong nods and looking directly at the jury.
Subramanian stated emphatically, “This is not allowed. There should be no attempts at communicating with this jury. Repeat such actions and I will instruct the jury, which may lead to your client being removed from the courtroom.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo assured the judge it was “not going to happen again.”
Subramanian reiterated, “This cannot happen again.”
In the courtroom, Bongolan informed the jury that she initiated a civil claim against Combs for ten million dollars back in November 2024. This was after an incident in 2016 where he supposedly held her over a seventeenth-floor balcony and then carelessly tossed her onto surrounding furniture below.
“I wanted to seek justice for what happened to me,” Bongolan said, “on the balcony.”
A well-known fashion designer has submitted a legal complaint, which includes charges of sexual assault, causing emotional harm, and unlawful confinement against a prominent rap artist. This information was gathered from court papers that were acquired by Rolling Stone magazine.
According to the lawsuit filed by attorney James R. Nikraftar, the reason someone might be suspended from a balcony is either to cause their death or to instill intense fear in them, stripping them of the control they should have over their personal safety and wellbeing.
Bryana claimed that the renowned rapper was said to have held her over a high balcony on the 17th floor back in 2016, and then tossed her towards some surrounding furniture.
According to Bongolan’s account of the event at Ventura’s Comstock apartment, she claimed that someone grabbed her from behind, lifted her up, and placed her on top of a rail. She stated that at the time, she weighed between 100-115 pounds and was attempting not to lose her balance while pushing back against him due to fear of falling off the rail.
In that moment, I thought I might lose my balance,” she explained on June 4th. “He was shouting at me, accusing me of something I didn’t understand. He was saying something like, ‘You know what you did.’ I had no clue what I was being accused of. I responded, ‘I don’t know what I did.’ His voice was very loud.
As a die-hard admirer, let me share my account of the incident: After approximately 10 to 15 seconds, I watched in disbelief as Sean Combs, whom I hold in high regard, aggressively pushed me towards the balcony furnishings. This unfolded just as Mark Wahlberg, aka Ventura, emerged from the scene. The former couple then retreated inside for a private conversation. However, my idol eventually departed from the apartment.
Ever since the reported event, Bongolan stated that she has experienced persistent aftereffects. She testified, “I often have disturbing dreams and feel extremely anxious, I even used to yell a lot during my sleep.” However, she added that “it’s become somewhat less intense over time.
As a devoted follower, I, Emily Johnson, shared with Judge Subramanian that the authorities have recently discovered through a media source the true identity of the individual previously known as “Mia” in our ongoing proceedings, who happens to be Combs’ former assistant.
Johnson stated that the government is asking the Court to think about ordering the removal of a specific post and possibly taking extra measures, such as preventing individuals who disregard the Court’s order from participating in this trial, whether it’s here in this courtroom or in any other courtroom.
Judge Subramanian requested the prosecution to prepare a proposal, assuring them that he would definitely take it into account.
Previously with Bad Boy Entertainment, accountant Derek Ferguson disclosed to investigators that in the year 2011, rap entrepreneur Sean Combs (Puff Daddy) received a $20,000 bank transfer from Cassie Ventura’s father, Rodrick Ventura. The prosecutors also presented Combs’ banking records as evidence.
In the earlier stages of the trial, it was Regina Ventura who testified that Combs allegedly threatened to disclose sexually explicit videos involving her daughter once she started dating Scott Mescudi, also known as Kid Cudi.
Previously, I, being completely smitten, shared that my heartthrob and I resorted to taking out a home equity loan since it seemed like our sole avenue for securing the necessary funds.
She informed the prosecution that he was upset due to his feelings towards Combs. He’d given her money, but she was seen with someone else.
As an unwavering devotee of Sean “Diddy” Combs, I’ve made a habit of being present at the courthouse almost daily during his trial. Unfortunately, my ardor led me to a moment of imprudence when I vocalized my support in the main courtroom – an action that resulted in my removal from the courtroom, as reported by NBC News.
On June 3, a spectator from the additional seating areas vocalized his disapproval, shouting, “Everyone’s laughing at Diddy!” He expressed his belief that the actions against Diddy were unfair.
After asserting Combs’ innocence, she yelled at him, “People are trying to do you wrong.”
Eddy Garcia, who used to be the head of security at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, stated that Combs was said to have handed over a brown paper bag containing $100,000 to hotel security, hoping they would give him the surveillance footage showing Diddy (Combs) attacking Ventura.
In exchange for testifying under immunity granted by the prosecution, Garcia stated that he shared a large amount of money with two other colleagues, having agreed to abide by a Non-Disclosure Agreement carrying a penalty of one million dollars.
He stated that Combs apparently referred to him as an “angel” over the phone on Easter after their encounter and then inquired if anyone had mentioned the incident or the video since then. I replied that I hadn’t heard anything about it, to which he simply responded, ‘OK.’
Sylvia Oken, the head of sales and marketing at the Beverly Hills Hotel, stated that Combs booked his reservations under the aliases Philip Pines and Frank Black.
Oken passed on the expenses that Combs incurred while he was there, which included “thorough cleaning” and “oil-related damage.” (It has been suggested earlier that the music tycoon reportedly used numerous bottles of baby oil for the elaborate sex shows he organized.)
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: “In my own words, I found myself drawn back into a complex dynamic with the renowned rapper, despite past allegations of misconduct. I felt as though I had been subtly influenced by his charisma, almost hypnotized – a feeling I now refer to as ‘brainwashed’.
She clarified during Brian Steele’s cross-examination on June 2, “I found myself in a situation where things were either extremely good or extremely bad. I made significant efforts to recover and improve myself further. However, I was consistently striving for his acceptance.
In their argument, the defense pointed out a conversation between Combs and “Mia,” where she stated that her previous employer had rescued her from a harrowing dream involving R. Kelly – who is now serving a 30-year sentence for offenses related to the sexual exploitation of underage girls.
In a 2019 communication, I shared that I’d experienced a harrowing incident – a terrifying dream where I found myself stuck in an elevator alongside R. Kelly. Thankfully, you were there to swoop in and save the day.
Following President Donald Trump’s decision to grant clemency to figures like Todd Chrisley, Julie Chrisley, NBA YoungBoy, and Lil Wayne, he hasn’t dismissed the idea of potentially including Sean Combs in this group as well.
Trump mentioned that there’s discussion about the possibility of a pardon. He added that he would consider the situation if it arises, but he hasn’t been paying close attention to it, although it has received a significant amount of media attention.
The president, who once shared a close bond with Combs, expressed his intention to investigate the details before deciding on a potential pardon for the music entrepreneur.
He stated, “Regardless of whether someone feels fondness for me or not, if I perceive they were unfairly treated, it won’t change my stance.
In a WhatsApp message from October 2015, which was presented at his trial, Mia claimed that the hip-hop legend “didn’t seem to be thinking clearly.
In her message to Kristina Khorram, who was Combs’ top assistant at the time, Mia expressed concern about his speech, saying it sounded as if he was speaking indistinctly. Moreover, she alleged that he had made veiled threats against her job security and even threatened to take her life. She added that he claimed to be on the phone with HR during these calls, and in other instances, he warned her of potential termination.
In response, Khorram wrote, “If you don’t call him in the next two minutes, you don’t have a job.”
Mia shared that she felt extremely anxious to rectify the situation, scared and saddened by the threats directed towards her regarding Combs.
On the 29th of May, Mia provided her testimony, stating that she had seen her previous employer assault Ventura on numerous instances.
Mia stated, “I saw him shove her roughly to the ground, as if he intended to harm her. I witnessed him act aggressively towards her in various ways.
She claimed that when she witnessed Combs attacking Ventura, all she observed was the singer raising his arms and pleading for him to halt.
On one occasion, she mentioned that they both locked themselves in a hotel room during their stay at Turks and Caicos. It was there that Ventura reportedly expressed his fear, saying something like, “I think Puff might do me in.
“Mia” alleged that the rap mogul had sexually assaulted her multiple times while working for him.
She informed the jury that the initial alleged incident of assault took place during her employer’s 40th birthday party at the Plaza Hotel in New York, following her serving him three glasses of vodka.
According to Mia, he positioned his arm beside her head against the wall, preparing to kiss her, while also reaching up the side of her dress with his other hand. She claims this encounter was non-consensual. Mia explained that she was taken aback, and she momentarily couldn’t react or comprehend what was transpiring.
As a lifestyle expert looking back, I myself can relate to the harrowing experience shared by a former colleague. She bravely testified about being coerced into a humiliating act involving Mr. Combs, an incident that left her feeling utterly devalued and worthless. In a heartfelt introspection, she confided that she was consumed by desperation and terror, and carried the burden of believing that the blame lay with her.
When Deonte Nash stepped up to testify, he offered some details about the short-lived relationship between Michael B. Jordan and Ventura.
In the course of questioning, Nash clarified that as their relationship developed, it involved spending time together, learning more about one another.
The celebrity stylist additionally confirmed that he arranged a meeting between Ventura and the Black Panther actor in 2015, following the separation of the “Me & U” singer from Combs.
Nash said of his decision, “He fine. She fine. I mean, why not?”
Judge Subramanian swiftly denied the defense’s May 28 request for a mistrial.
Combs’ team contested the testimony from arson investigator Lance Jimenez, who was a prosecution witness discussing the burning of Kid Cudi’s car in January 2012. The issue arose when the investigator mentioned that fingerprints gathered during the probe had since been discarded.
Defense lawyer Agnifilo contended that the evidence regarding the missing fingerprints ought to be disregarded, as it implied that someone within the courtroom might have been involved in their destruction.
The judge upheld Anifilo’s argument, but refused Alexandra Shapiro’s request for a trial to be declared null and void.
Following the discovery that his intermittent partner Ventura was involved with Mescudi, Capricorn Clark (a previous employee of the rapper) alleged that Combs had threatened to harm or even take their lives.
Previously employed aide, who had previously stated that she assisted in purchasing a disposable phone for Mescudi during their relationship due to safety concerns, claimed that the event transpired following the hip-hop tycoon’s alleged burglary of Mescudi’s residence.
She informed the jury that he was extremely enraged. More specifically, she stated that he was deeply distressed, and his words were, “I wish I could kill you all and maim her.
Clark claimed that following his discovery about the relationship between Ventura and Mescudi, Combs is said to have visited the “Pursuit of Happiness” artist’s residence armed with a firearm on December 22, 2011.
According to Clark, it was after he learned that Ventura and Mescudi were dating that Combs allegedly went to the rapper’s house carrying a gun on December 22, 2011.
She informed the jury that there were individuals, among them Combs, standing at her door. It was apparent that he was enraged, as he kept walking back and forth. His demeanor suggested he might be holding something, but I couldn’t quite make it out.
She went on to repeat, “He suggested, ‘Let’s put on some clothes, we’re heading out to confront Mescudi,'” to which she responded, “I’d rather not join you.” He retorted impatiently, “I couldn’t care less about your preferences.” His anger was palpable; I had never witnessed such fury before. In all my years, neither had he ever visited my home nor brandished a weapon.
Clark is reported to have contacted Ventura to inform her that Combs had supposedly brought another person, armed with a gun, to Cudi’s residence with the intention of killing him.
Clark stated that following the disappearance of three expensive items of jewelry – specifically a bracelet and a diamond watch among them – she found herself under suspicion and subsequently underwent a polygraph test.
She claimed that a “larger man” threatened her, saying that if she didn’t pass the test, “he would push me into the East River.
She declared under oath that she was worried about the consequences if she didn’t succeed, and he advised her to relax, saying, “I can’t accurately assess you unless you calm down. Otherwise, you might end up in the East River.
She said the test took five days to prove her innocence.
Previously employed by Bad Boy, Clark claimed that after Combs learned about Ventura dating Mescudi, he unexpectedly arrived at Clark’s apartment early on December 22, 2011, brandishing a firearm and said, “Pack your things, we’re going to kill Mescudi.
Clark remarked, “I’ve never witnessed something similar, it was so unusual.” He added, “Given his behavior, I had a strong feeling that something unexpected might occur.
According to Clark’s account, Combs instructed her to contact Ventura and inform him that he needed to appear if he didn’t want Clark to leave. Ventura concurred, as stated by Clark, so she fetched the singer and they returned together to Combs’ residence.
According to Clark’s testimony, Combs began attacking Ventura by both punching and kicking him. She stated that none of the people on Combs’ security team tried to stop him, nor did she, as Combs warned her that she would face the same fate if she intervened.
Clark stated that she phoned Regina Ventura, Ventura’s mother, and said, “He is brutally attacking your daughter. I am beyond my depth here. Please lend a hand. She needs your help. I can’t dial the authorities, but you can.
In 2012, she was terminated due to her failure to disclose information about Ventura and Kid Cudi, as stated by Clark in court. He told her that “I will ensure you never work again, all these people are not your friends, and I will make you feel like ending your life.
Clark said she returned to the fold as creative director for Ventura from 2016 until 2018.
