In an interesting twist for his character’s portrayal in the upcoming “Thunderbolts” film, actor Sebastian Stan suggests that Bucky Barnes, a long-standing figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is reaching an advanced age. It’s worth remembering that Stan and the character of Bucky Barnes have been integral to the MCU since its early days, first appearing in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” While Bucky didn’t initially gain prominence until “The Winter Soldier,” he has since become a regular in Marvel’s big-screen ensembles and the “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” series on Disney+. As a veteran of the MCU, Stan finds inspiration for his performance in the iconic veteran character, Clint Eastwood’s William Munny from the film “Unforgiven.
