Although it’s slated for release this year, there isn’t much known yet about the eagerly awaited sequel to Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, titled Ghost of Yotei.
During their conversation, Boss Brian Fleming didn’t reveal much, but he did discuss the development team ASOBI’s methodology, emphasizing that they consistently strive to refine their work based on lessons learned from their past projects.
He shared that at our workplace, we refer to it as a “staircase” of progress, implying each game is built upon the foundations laid by the one before it. Furthermore, he emphasized our desire to keep innovating creatively and technically in our roles as storytellers and artists.

In essence, Ghost of Tsushima was an outstanding game, but it did have some areas for improvement, particularly regarding gameplay diversity, stealth mechanics, and narrative depth. It seems that Fleming might be hinting at potential enhancements in these very aspects for the sequel, aiming to deliver a more immersive experience overall.
